Google Philippines together with five well-known local bands and musicians, call on Filipino for lyrics of the new Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) song. This aims to celebrate and reconnect to almost 12 million OFWs globally, through a song having things they miss back home.
Bands like Sponge Cola, Itchyworms, Kwan and musicians like Ebe Dancel and Mikey Bustos will working with Google Philippines, to put a melody to the lyrics which will be crowdsourced from millions of Pinoys here and abroad, all for the modern-day horoes.
Before September 1, which is the official release of the newest OFW song on You Tube, simultaneously the celebration of National Heroes Day, you have the time to contribute for the lyrics by simply submitting it at https://goo.gl/vRkjUK or post it on your social media accounts like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Google+ with the hashtag #GoogleMissKoNa.
Not only that, aside from you can help to finish the song you are also donating a 1Php to the Blas Ople Policy Center & Training Institute, with every submission. The donations will be used to build halfway houses for victims of human trafficking.
