Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecogogical Society (POGS) together with non-profit organization Braveheart are all geared up for 'Millennium Run for Women's Health' that will be happening on the 6th of November. It aims to collect funds for the campaign of women's health issues specially for pregnancy related deaths, breast cancer and cervical cancer. Also with the support of United Nation's Millennium Development Goals (MDG) which have one goal and it targets the improvement of maternal health.
The Braveheart President Abbygale Arenas-De Leon is extending their support for this fundraising event, they usually ride their bicycles but this time they'll be running with the same goal which is to improve the reproductive health of Filipinas. Let us all believed in POGS Vice President and Overall Chairman Dr. Rey Delos Reyes said that 'Filipinas shouldn't get left behind when it comes health care, this fundraising event will be the start of the organizations program to train midwives in the skills they need to manage pregnancies and refer problematic cases to appropriate centers and physicians'
Run For Change's Niki Francisco, the chief organizer discussed the running event will be at the Mckinley Hill, Taguig 5AM. The available distances are 1.5K (500Php), 3K (500Php), 5K (500Php) and 10K (600Php).
