MTV's Viacom Inc. announces that MTV Music Evolution marks its first edition in the Philippines. Sponsored by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) of the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) with the support of Dolby. MTV Music Evolution is set on May 17, Sunday at the Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park in Manila.
MTV Music Evolution is a live music concert that brings to life the evolution of music genre and for it to experience and discover by young people, how music styles and sound have evolved over the years. It primarily features the hip-hop in which, it will showcase the iconic and contemporary hip hop acts both local and international scenes. At the same time it will present the best of the Philippine music and culture to international youth audiences and to think that It's More Fun in the Philippines :).
MTV Asia recently revealed the first line-up of artist that will grace the MTV stage in the Philippines. The Philippines' award-winning rapper Gloc-9, the Philippines' hottest hip hop act Abra and the Grammy Award-winning hip hop act Naughty by Nature.
The said event will be recorded live for global telecast to reach the international audience of more than three-quarters of a billion households in over 160 countries.
