English Only Please is the official entry of Quantum Films to the 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) that is set to be shown on Christmas day, December 25. Topbilled by the Kapuso Jennylyn Mercado and Kapatid Derek Ramsay, a pair that will tell a love story that has never been told. Since it was the only and single movie with a romantic-comedy theme in the festival, it will surely be one of the most watch film in MMFF.
This is the first time Jennylyn and Derek worked together in a film and the chemistry of is evident on the official trailer of the movie. Since where talking about first time, this is also first time for both actors to offer a comedic act in the film and they really nailed it, specially Jennylyn.
The story is about the story of Tere Madlansacay (Jennylyn) and Julian Parker (Derek) who met online for a tutorial purposes and Parker's one goal, to perfectly recite the Filipino translation of his angry letter to his half-Pinay ex-GF Megan. But then Parker comes to Manila from New York and personally meet his tutor Tere, the rest is history.
At the recent bloggers conference happen at Max's Restaurant, Sct. Tuazon, QC, the cast share how happy it is on the set of the shooting. Both actors are so excited at first then they were offered about the project.

"Nung nalaman ko na meron ganito, sabi ko patingin nyan, excited ako kasi matagal na akong walang ibang ginagawa pero drama lang so happy talaga ako sa character ko as Tere dito and since first time ko sa comedy sana magustuhan nyo" Jennylyn divulged.
"I'm excited also nung nabasa ko yung material and Jennylyn really caught my attention at Rosario palang and she's so pretty that's why my first reaction nung nalaman ko na si Jen ang leading lady ko, I'm so haapy" Derek shared.
Jennylyn also told us how Derek took care of her as the leading lady of the film and said "Si Derek sobrang friendly nya, accomodating and patient, hindi talagang si Derek eh masayahin yan, pupunta yan sa dressing room tapos mangungulit lang, ang bait saka malambing"
"Pag-alam nyang pagod ako at tumutuhog ako ng taping then shooting, inaalagaan nya ako" Jennylyn added.
I think this film needs no translation on how simple love is, if it is meant to be, it is meant to be, no boundaries just love. Just like Jennylyn and Derek, though they are from different TV Networks, they nailed it in making the film and (maybe) somethings bloom in between that we never know, just watch the video I look and look into their eyes hehe.. (i think bagay sila)..
