Recently, bloggers had a chance to tour around the full-complement medical and health allied institution and witness how the DLSHSI provides holistic care.
We welcome by the Vice Chancellor of Lasallian Mission and Linkages of DLSHSI, Head of Asian Pacific Society of Respirology Assembly (APSR) on Tuberculosis and also the member of Steering Committee of the International Standards for TB Care, Dr. Charles Yu who discussed about the institutions advocacy and goals for students, community and country.
"As of today, I can say that De La Salle has the highest full scholarship for medical students in the country, maintaining its mission to have or qualify young bright students which have financial incapability to study in La Salle" Dr. Yu said.
After which bloggers started the tour around the school and hospital of the institution. From the state-of-the-art class rooms, conducive laboratories, complete set of materials for return demonstrations, fully ventilated buildings and even the advanced patient simulator SimMan 3G. DLSHSI almost complete with all the medical facilities that school and hospital can offer. No wonder they are one of the known schools in medical field.
They offer courses from Doctor of Medicine, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Science in Nursing, Midwifery and Radiologic Technology. They almost have a 100% of passing students every year and the La Salle is always included in the top 10 schools for medicine.
If I would given a chance to study again or take my masteral degree in nursing, I would go for La Salle if they will open a course for it hehehe.. or maybe I am thinking for Doctor of Medicine hehe... maybe I could get that full scholarship that they are offering :). I will be writing more great news about DLSHSI in the coming days because I believe in their advocacy to give free education for the less fortunate people.
