Our country's Axe Apollo representatives headed over to Florida to compete with the Axe Apollo participants from almost 25 countries. But before that they undergone an intensive training here in our country.
Crossfit Manila or CFMNL, prepared the Axe Apollo Philippine Team by giving ten high intensity crossfit training. Even,Ramil and Chino were given an extreme battery of seven AMRAP (as many round/reps as possible) of wall balls, box jumps, squat thrusts, push-ups, and chin-ups. Im sure their body is ready and limitless afterwards. CFMNL branches are located atthe Fort, Pasig, Libis and Alabang.
Siltless Diving leaded by Jason Kho Gillo trained the Axe Apollo Philippine Team by providing them three in-water instructions, they were taken on a Discover Scuba Experience program for them to deal with near-weightless environments. As an introduction rather than a full course, of the 5 Chapters required to complete the Discover Scuba Experience program, only 1 was given for the three astronaut hopefuls.
Then the AXE Apollo Team Philippines were given a physical test at the St. Luke’s Global City's Felicidad Sy Health and Wellness Center, to assess their physical fitness and health readiness for the rigors of space camp. They had basic medical consultations, blood tests, x-rays, treadmill exercise tests, ECG’s, and ultrasound using the hospital’s state-of-the-art facilities.
The Team Axe Apollo Philippines are all set before they went to AXE Apollo Space Camp, Orlando Florida. As they head towards their date with destiny, the entire Filipino nation is ready to share in this moment and cheer them on.
