Last week Tourism Malaysia conducted a gala night for the Visit Malaysia Year 2014 (VMY), happen at Solaire Resorts and Casino Manila. The event was hosted by Deputy Director General (Promotion) Madam Chong Yoke Har and attended by dignitaries including the Undersecretary of Department of Tourism Daniel G. Corpuz and Malaysian Ambassador to the Republic of Philippines H.E. Dato' Mohd Kassim.
Part of the event is to promote the Visit Malaysia Year 2014, which was attended by Malaysian delegations with 31 organizations including Johor Tourism Department, Sabah Tourism Board, Labuan Corporation, KidZania Kuala Lumpur, Legoland Malaysia, Sepang International Circuit and Regency Hotel, local travel trade members and media.
Started with the video presentation on VMY 2014 and several presentations like Malaysian dances, roti canai making, batik textile and more. Added to that is the presentation also of airlines, cruises and Malaysia tourism product owners. This is to encourage greater cooperation and formation of more tourism products and tour packages, particularly of course the VMY 2014.
More so, included is the briefing on the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF), which Malaysia will be hosting next year from January 16-23 in Kuching, Sarawak. The said event will be expected to be attended by tourism ministers, senior officials, tourism industry players, and international media, is set to kick off Visit Malaysia Year 2014.
Watchout for the business sessions of Tourism Malaysia at Manila on October 7 & 8, Iloilo on October 9 and Bacolod on October 10, 2013.
