Rodgers and Hammerstein's CINDERELLA will stage in our country starting October 9, 2013 at Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT), Resorts World Manila (RWM), Pasay City.
Recently, a 20 mins press preview was shown with class and glamour at NPAT, RWM, from the storybook-like stage down to costumes and characters which gave a tremendous performance and excellent voices. I felt like a little girl again, seeing Cinderella singing and dancing with her prince charming. Though I didn't see the part where Cinderella became a beautiful princess from an ordinary girl, I think it is one of the highlights of the play and I am so excited for it.
"You will see the magical part of this and watch out for that, because we prepared a good execution on it and this storybook-like stage is on both side" Michael Williams the veteran theater actor and director of Cinderella.
Cinderella will be played by TV host and stage luminary Karylle Tatlonghari, stage play actresses Julia Abueva and Justine Pena as alternatives. For the charming Prince Christopher is the Asia's Pop Idol Christian Bautista and stage actor Fred Lo as his alternate. The equally talented artists will surely give a fantastic show for all audiences every performance night.
The well experienced support stage actors and actresses includes Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo (First Lady of Philippine Musical Theater), that will play the Fairy Godmother. To complete the all-Filipino casts are Pinky Marquez, Sweet Plantado, Sheila Francisco, Miguel Faustmann, Maronne Cruz, Gianina Ocampo and Red Concepcion.
