Recently the said turnover of 6Php Million to WFP was happen last week October 17 at Unilever, United Nations Ave. Manila. It was headed and attended by Unilever Phils' VP for Corporate Affairs Chito Macapagal, Foods and Customer Dev't Director Carl Cruz, UNWFP Phils' Rep&Country Director Stephen Anderson,DepEd Health and Nutrition Center Dr. Maria Corazon Dumlao, and Dep't of Social Welfare&Development Dr. Parisya Taradji. As the world celebrated the World Food Day, Unilever is proud to support WFP's school feeding program to help remote and conflict-affected areas of Central Mindanao.
Through Unilever's food brand, Knorr it will use to provide 600,000 nutritious meals to 100,000 public elementary students in provinces of Mindanao which includes Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur and Lanao del Norte. They also conduct a cooking demonstration of two meals that they will be serving the students soon and discuss the nutritional value of each. We had a chance to taste it after and I can tell that students will love it.
We are all happy and excited that kids will have a better future because there will food to serve in their schools through WFP and Unilever advocacy.
