2012 Cinemalaya's "BWAKAW" on Cinemas Starting September 5

BWAKAW is a comedy-drama film about an old man Rene played by Eddie Garcia who was too busy preparing for his own passing but his life turn-around when his furry friend BWAKAW played by a dog named Princess is in trouble struggling with life. By the help of his friends  and new found friend, they did everything to cured BWAKAW and their own lives as well especially Rene.

I had a chance to attend the red carpet premiere of the said movie at  SM Megamall Cinema 6 last week and as I went into the venue everybody is talking about it, that's why I am more excited about it. I had a dog when I was in high school and since he died I never took chance to have one again because I don't want to feel the same emotion when he died. I suddenly miss him and as I watch the movie specially the end part of it, my tears keeps on flowing hayz.. On the other hand, I enjoyed it also because the scenes that involve Rene's best friend Soxie Topacio and his assistant always making the film lighter. The wisdom and belief that his neighbor Beverly Salviejo is also interesting showing how Filipinos faith and love story on the side with tricycle driver rex Cortex.

You must watch it because it involves not only friendship, acceptance and faith but most of all giving importance and appreciating for what you have in life and continue to live for other.

Directed by Jun Robles, the youngest Filipino to be inducted in the Palanca Literary Awards Hall of Fame. In Cinema's near you starting tomorrow, September 5, 2012.
