UNO Magazine brings you the second installment of a series of events held at the Genting Club dubbed "Human Nature Photography Fashion Show," tomorrow Friday, October 7. The event showcases the photographs of GT Toledo, president of IlustradosPH, a group of young photographers, stylists, make-up artists and the like, zeroing i on the basic elements of nature: Earth, Wind, Fire, Water. These photographs will then be brought to life by make up artists of MAKE UP FOR EVER through body painting. The show promises to be an extravaganza of of Filipino ingenuity through art.
To show the glimpes of what will be happening on the 7th, UNO invited media and bloggers at the Modern Academy, Brio One Commercial Corporation Bonifacio Global City last October 3 for the HUMAN NATURE Photography Fashion Press Launch. They demonstrated one of Manila's fashion model and made her body a living canvass to the country's top body painting artists of MAKE UP FOR EVER.
As they prepared and assembled all the necessary make-up, brushes and equipment, I took the chance to took a photo of the model for me to compare the before-and-after results of the make-up. And made a short talk about body painting which is said a very essence of the work of Dany Sanz, who introduced it to Europe in the 1970's and she created products that did not exist at that time but today there is a complete range of artistic products like MAKE UP FOR EVER's Aquarelles and Color Cream that true works of art can be created in the body, as sublime as they are fleeting.And they used all of it in the said demonstration that day.

So I am excited for tomorrow's event and I will share it again with you. The Human Nature Photography Fashion Show is also a fundraising event supported by the Manila Shine Club for the benefit of burned and crippled children. The Manila Shine Club supports children up to 18 years old with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft palate. I will definitely supports this advocacy also and Im excited to see how they make the human body into nature.
