I recently attended a bloggers event at the NACI Comfort Food and Dessert Bar for the soft opening of the said restaurant. The event was 6:30PM but my fellow blogger Ann and I were there at exactly 5:30PM. We barely know the area so we decided we might as well go there early to avoid the hustle and bustle of the metro rush hour. Thankfully, we survived it without us having to take a pricey ride in a cab and its so easy to find because the location is at the 2nd Level of Fox Square Building Connecticut St. Greenhills, San Juan.
As I entered the restaurant I started to think about ordering food at once and taste all the food illustrated at the restaurant's wall. But my companion and I stopped ourselves from doing it because we have to wait for the right time with our fellow bloggers who were then coming in one by one as the event time approached.
The restaurant has stored and prepared many offers innovative and broad menu of foods from pasta, hand-tossed salads, soup, sandwiches, signature entrees, imported steaks and pizzas. Firstly the appetite was served and we took a photo of each as a routine before we eat. Here are we go....
Chorizo and Brie Puffs - a baked cream puffs filled with Spanish chorizo, brie and banana. I found it refreshing because the banana well blended with the taste of chorizo - 320Php
Creamy Salpicao - a classic beef salpicao with trio of garlic and cream.I like garlic very much that's why this dish is so click for me and the beef is so tender - 340Php
Beef Taco Springnroll - a crispy springrolls stuffed with beef taco filling, tomato salsa and served with sour cream for 190Php
Junior Crab Cakes - a shallow fried sauteed crabmeat served with remoulade and petite greens 210Php
We also tried the special prepared Tita Em's Chowder which came from the a very supportive family friend of the owner i like its creaminess with shimp, korn kernels and bacon.A healthy Kani Mango Crunch salad which has a layers of assorted greens, kani, ripe mango, cucumber topped with crispy wanton and vermicelli drizzled with wasabi also. Both dishes i love specially the Tita Em's Chowder, its a must try friends.
Steak and Mushroom Casserole - it is a baked beef and mushroom casserole served with a basket of toast.
We've got loads of hearty dishes that made our dinner more satisfying by the rice dishes like the Shrimp Jambalaya and Pevuvian Chicken Rice, but foe me I love the Shrimp Jambalaya more because it has a distinct taste that only seafood can give. Together with entree....
