Coffee is a brewed beverage with a dark, slightly acidic flavor prepared from the roasted seeds of the coffee plant. When I was in high school I used to drink a cup of black coffee everyday but as time goes by my addiction into it worsen until now. I find coffee very beneficial for me because it relieves my migraine whenever it attacks and it made my day complete. When I heard that Coffee Origins 2011 will launch in the gallery of Greenbelt 5, I immediately say yes to the invite and went to the event.
I has so happy seeing the Philippine producers and retailers of coffee in one place and each representative had a talk about their product be it for export and local customers. I had a chance also to taste of each, I feel like im in heaven at that time hehe...the aroma, taste and feeling of Filipino retailers have a productive coffee industry.
The Director of Philippine Coffee Board, Inc. Mr. Emmanuel U. Torrejon told us that the challenges and facts about the Philippine coffee industry and the value of the industry increases.
Furthermore, the Chairman of the National Competitiveness Council Mr. Guillermo M. Luz also emphasized that if we do not encourage local farmers to plant more coffee, the Philippines may lose its competitiveness in the region.
Let us support the coffee industry of our country and encourage more to taste and drink such products. To take a sample of them visit The Gallery in Greenbelt 5 until October 16 as The Philippine Coffee Board and Alaska Milk Corporation presents Coffee Origins 2011 Coffee and Partners free sample for all.
