Free Comic Book Day on May 1
Do you want a free comic book, yess FREE its really free!! May 1 is the first Saturday of May which happens to be the annual comic giving. I only know two comic book stores participating in this year's Free Comic Book Day Metro Manila leg: Comic Odyssey in Robinson's Galleria and Planet X Comics in Glorietta.You can check out other retail stores and distributors on your place to enjoy the fun on May 1.

My New TCL LCD TV !!!
We were invited by the Gadgets Magazine and Coca-Cola Philippines to the recently Pinoy Blogfest 1.0 and for bloggers, its an honor to be on this event, not only to gain knowledge about gadgets which use in blogging but most of all the information of what a bloggers ethics should have on our society which is the main theme of event.
It was a great event with over flowing discussions, sessions, foods, freebies and more. There are segments of question and answer which you can clarify, verify things right from the expert speakers as well.I really enjoyed the event and met new friends and bloggers.They also raffled off some items, gadgets and appliances from sponsors and suppliers of the event and I won the grand prize a TCL LCD TV awesome...which is perfect for my limited floor area apartment. I immediately call my back-up friends early in the morning for the installation on the wall, and after they mounted the TV set were ready to rock!! At first we were hesitate to turn-on the unit, thinking that if we did something wrong we might spoil our day but after 3 times of reading and checking the connections and everything, I think I can shout the go signal hehe...At first we were shock that the unit is more smoother to the eyes compare to other lcd tv.Also it has an interactive menu and screen save wow!! Moreover the pearl white color gives the clearer and sharper quality picture mode. After we had watch a three movie marathon we decided to view the picture that we had on our past party and I told them to cool down first the unit but when I feel the screen it is not hot as compare to the other unit after a long hours of viewing, when I said " just go on and enjoy the party heheh..." Im very confident that it will not damage knowing that TCL LCD's has a cold panel technology, thats why??

Pinoy_Blogfest 1.0 Experience April 17, 2010
Last April 17, 2010 I am so lucky to attend an event that broaden my knowledge about blogging industry. The Pinoy Blogfest 1.0 was held at Richmonde Hotel in Ortigas. This conference was brought to us by Coca-Cola Philippines and the country's first tech-style magazine Gadgets Magazine with a theme of "Opportunity and Responsibility"The event was opened by the president and CEO of Great Minds Media Inc. Ms Maribelle Alba.
and it was a whole day event of knowledge about blogs from Code of Ethics by Ms Yvonne Chua (http://www.pcij.org),
That there is a difference about blogger and journalist which some pretended to be as one.The later which follows rules of engagement and more difficult but they have the same power as through connecting people and spreading news.

Coke partners with Gadgets Magazine for Pinoy_Blogfest 1.0
Coca-Cola Philippines has partnered with Gadgets Magazine, the country’s first tech-lifestyle magazine, to present Pinoy_Blogfest 1.0. In what is conceived to be a convergence of alternative media practitioners and bloggers, Pinoy_Blogfest 1.0 has adopted “Opportunity & Responsibility” as its conference theme. Scheduled for Saturday, 17 April 2010, at the Richmonde Hotel, Ortigas Center, Pinoy_Blogfest 1.0 hopes to stimulate discussions about issues confronting new media.
In much the same way that the Philippines was recognized as the world’s texting capital in the late 90s, Filipino netizens have established their presence in social networking sites. According to “Power to the People –Wave 3,” a Universal McCann study released in 2008, the Philippines can be regarded as “the social networking capital of the world”. The study, conducted in 29 countries, estimates that about 90% of Filipino users read blogs (second only to Korea’s 92%). It also reported that the Philippines has the highest percentage of photo uploaders and web video viewers.
Pinoy_Blogfest 1.0 will tackle hot button issues about new media such as ethics, copyright concerns, and journalistic integrity. The keynote speech will focus on “The social and ethical responsibilities of new media.” Other plenary topics include “Optimizing the economic potential of your blog” and “Bloggers as media practitioners.” The morning session is expected to close with a facilitated discussion on “Crafting a blogger’s code of ethics.” Speakers include Gadgets Magazine’s Publisher & CEO Maribelle Alba, media personality Ira Panganiban, Yugatech’s Abe Olandres and Yvonne Chua from PCIJ.
The afternoon schedule of Pinoy_Blogfest 1.0 will consist of breakout sessions covering technology trends, gaming, mobile networking, photography, digital living, and health/fitness. Hosted by industry leaders, these sessions will showcase the latest advances in these fields.
Pinoy_Blogfest 1.0 is open to all bona-fide bloggers. Due to space limitations, we shall be limiting the conference to about 100 participants. Complimentary tickets are available for about 60 slots, after which a minimal registration fee of P2,500 will be charged to cover meals and the participant’s kit.
Pinoy_Blogfest 1.0 is presented by Gadgets Magazine in partnership with Coca-Cola Philippines. Other sponsors include Toshiba the official notebook partner, Canon, Asus Technologies, TCL Sun, Isukoshi, Reebok, and LG Electronics.
