VOTE NOW! RAWR AWARDS 2020

The awards night is presented live online. It will be on the 5th of December.
RAWR Awards, in its sixth year, will have an entirely different way of hosting and giving away its recognition to the best and the brightest stars amid the pandemic.

For the past five years, LionhearTV’s RAWR Awards honor and recognize the Best and the Brightest in the Philippine Entertainment industry since 2015.

Each year, the awards have a theme and are staged with full production in physical venues, and attended by entertainment stars as guests, presenters, performers, and as recipients of awards.

But due to the pandemic, LionhearTV will still push through with the annual RAWR Awards via online awarding in November.

Before the birthday of LionHearTV on October 25, the announcement of nominees is all set on the same day. Voting online begins on the 25th and runs until the 30th of November.

The awards night is presented live online. It will be on the 5th of December.

Voting for this year will come from three parts, which is the same as previous years: 33.33% from social media votes (IG, Twitter, FB, YT, website votes), 33.33% from bloggers and PR agencies; and 33.33% from eMVP search engine results.

#YouGotThis Online Summit

One thing is certain: the world has changed dramatically. The impact of this global health crisis will continue to hit us in waves. It is felt all over the world in ways we are just beginning to understand. We know the economy is suffering, but it’s interesting to find out how we’ve been affected, including the smallest aspects of our lives. And as we navigate the new normal, we continue to form new identities on what the events made us to be. The question in our heads is one and the same -- how do we make do with what we have and with what we cannot control? The answer is simple. We journey on. Where do we start, though?

It’s not easy to persevere when you are surrounded by hopelessness and uncertainty. What you can do now is to pause and let it all out on paper. Journal about it! Journaling has been proven as a helpful tool to one’s well-being, and this is one of the reasons why Dar Ty-Nilo started her brand, Belle de Jour Power Planner (BDJ). Dar had the simple idea of making a planner product that would help Filipinas make their dreams and goals tangible through journaling and planning. Viviamo, the company behind BDJ, launched the Philippines’ first ever online planning and journaling summit: #YouGotThisPH last September 19-20. This was an invitation for the community to come together in one safe space to talk about collective uncertainties, fears, and anxieties, and to recommit to dreams and goals through journaling. This weekend “journaling retreat” brought inspiration, motivation, and excitement to Filipinos during this extraordinary time. The summit had one simple yet powerful message to impart to everyone: you got this!

#YouGotThis Online Summit was a 2-day online event with special talks, panel discussions, activities, and also the launch of the 2021 Viviamo Planner Collection, including the sought-after Belle de Jour Power Planner. The first session of the summit started with Victoria Herrera of She Talks Asia & Kumu and Coach Bam Santiago of LifeKite sharing their stories about developing resilience and overcoming depression through journaling. The conversation went deeper as Coach Ning Tadena, who is a certified life and beauty coach, helped us find our inner strength and gave us a guide to connecting to ourselves through journaling. What is journaling without its creative branch -- bullet journaling? Thankfully, Paula Binsol of Bullet Journal Philippines talked about using BuJo to create unbreakable focus in a world of distraction.

Career is one of the relevant topics the team wanted the summit to cover, so for this topic, Miggy Azurin of Huskee Digital and Cat Triviño of Cora PH & MindNation gave us insights on revamping our career: resetting your career, wherever we are right now. To wrap the day up, Coach Pia Acevedo of OneCORE guided us on focusing on what matters and gaining clarity & perspective through journaling.

The powerhouse lineup continued on the second day and for the first session, Alessa Lanot of Life After Breakfast and Katwo & Nico Puertollano of Rezonate had a productive roundtable discussion about pivoting for future success and reinventing one’s self to create future success. For the following session, Coach Paula Peralta, a certified trainer of award winning brands, answered the question on how to break through money blocks and achieve true abundance through journaling. To hype up and lighten the atmosphere, the virtual stage was graced by the nation’s favorite auntie and content creator, Macoy Dubs, famously known as Auntie Julie. The creator taught us how to hugot our way to happiness and find laughter through journaling. When it’s time to get crafty and a bit personal, it’s also time to reignite our dreams through visualization and to infuse positivity through journaling & creative visualization. For this part, we asked Vision Board Coach, Trixie Esguerra to lead. There’s no better way to wrap up the summit than to have no other than the person who started it all, Dar Ty-Nilo, share her journey on living a life of purpose and happiness to pursue a joyful life.

The summit group had over 2,000 members and views during the live sessions with a dozen heartfelt takeaways from the participants, which you can still see upon viewing the group and the tags. Truly, it was magical to witness an extended community be one despite being apart. Though the summit is already over, everyone is still welcome to be a part of the group and to revisit the recorded talk segments. Just visit bit.ly/yougotthisph and answer all questions upon request to join, then click the learning units to watch the videos. Remember, we got you and #YouGotThis!

RICHARD JUAN TEACHES CANTONESE

Being stuck at home with community quarantine measures in place could definitely take a toll on many—especially for those who are used to being out and about.

2020 has brought so many uncertainties and one of those is not even knowing when travel for leisure will be allowed once again.

This year, Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has launched its “100 Reasons to Miss Hong Kong” campaign, allowing Filipinos to reminisce about the things they have come to love about Asia’s World City—from food, shopping, outdoor activities, and even its nightlife.

Some might even be making their next travel plans to Hong Kong already, going as far as researching on new destinations to visit in the city. And while we’re at it, how about learning a new Cantonese phrase or two with Filipino-Chinese TV personality Richard Juan?

Richard was born in the Philippines but grew up in Hong Kong, allowing him to be exposed to multiple cultures at a young age. This allowed him to become fluent in five languages, one of which is Cantonese.

Joined by reality star Baninay Bautista and Deni Rose Afinidad-Bernardo, the Senior Editor for Lifestyle and Entertainment for Philstar.com, catch Richard Juan as he shares his knowledge on essential Cantonese phrases you can use in your next trip to Hong Kong in a two-episode series, “Missing Hong Kong with Richard Juan”.

Find more ways to miss Hong Kong and tune in to Richard’s Facebook page on October 23 and November 6, 2020 as he takes the audience on a virtual tour of Hong Kong and talk about what he misses most about the city while teaching Cantonese phrases to be used in shopping, asking for directions, essential greetings, and many more.
