LIXIL, UNICEF CELEBRATE THE SUCCESS OF AMERICAN STANDARD'S BENEFITS SALE

December 15, 2018 marks the history event  of four countries in Asia that simultaneously holding the  SHOWER FOR GOOD benefit sale- racing against the clock to sell 1000 American Standard GENIE hand showers in Manila, Philippines, Mumbai, India, Jakarta, Indonesia and Bangkok, Thailand. But who really won when the regional event reached its satisfying conclusion are the disadvantaged children of the world who no longer have to live without clean water and basic sanitation. 

100% of all sales proceeds of Shower for Good will fund the projects of partners LIXIL and UNICEF through its foundation, MAKE A SPLASH, that will change the lives of these children for good.

American Standard Genie Hand Shower donated all sales of its one-day only benefit sale to LIXIL-UNICEF MAKE A SPLASH PROGRAM to fund projects for disadvantaged children in need of clean water and basic sanitation. In Manila, the benefit sale was spurred by the spirit of sharing that pervades the country during the Christmas holidays. As the 1000th Genie hand shower was sold,  fireworks greeted a delighted Eastwood Mall Open Park crowd of mall-goers and the invited press who have enjoyed  a stirring chorale fest that had 9 top choirs from the country serenading them that afternoon and into the early evening.  With the help of student volunteers from various universities, Manila delivered 1000 American Standard GENIE hand showers sold. Joining Manila were Bangkok and Jakarta who also sold 1000 Genies each,  while Mumbai brought in 448 units sold. 100% of all sales proceeds were turned over to the attending UNICEF representative in each country. In Manila, the ceremonial turnover was led by Alpha Ang, LIXIL Asia Pacific General Manager, Alen Alban, LIXIL Phils. Country Manager, Joralyn Ong, LIXIL Associate Director- Retail Sales and Trade Marketing, Emily Rose Besavilla, Marketing Manager of LIXIL, Liza Rachel Cancino, Marketing Director, Branding and Communications for Asia for Inax and American Standard, to Marga Uy Baula, Corporate Fundraising Officer of Unicef Philippines. 

As Alpha Ang reiterated during the turnover of donation, " by 2021, LIXIL-UNICEF "Make a Splash" would have helped 250 million people live healthier, better lives with clean water and basic sanitation."  With so much good done that Saturday of December 15, 2018, he announced to all that he is confident that that goal is entirely reachable.

American Standard GENIE hand shower is a Red Dot Design Awardee that utilizes 120 micro sprays that shower its users gently with Petal pressure. For the one-day only sale, it was sold at 30% discount. In the Philippines, it will retail at P850.00 pesos, after the one-day only sale.

SISSUMS TONI & ALEX GONZAGA TOPBILLED MMFF'S "MARY, MARRY ME"

The much awaited team up of Sissums Gonzaga Sisters, Toni and Alex Gonzaga are already here to join this year's Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), the entry with a family movie entitled "Mary, Marry Me" on December 25, 2018.




Directed by RC Delos Reyes, the Royal Celebrity Siblings are finally making their longtime dream a reality, after being seen together in tv projects, guestings and endorsements. This family movie is a 20 years waiting from the time they are planning what movie to be first seen every MMFF, until now.

Working together with a family member have pros and cons, like with Toni and Alex.




"Si ate lahat napapansin sa akin pati yung susuutin ko, basta extra napapansin nya lahat sa akin especially while making the movie, pero tinitake ko yun as positive kasi gusto lang niya maganda ako at palagi ako camera ready" Alex said.
"Palagi kami nadadala sa mga eksena, may time nga na dalang dala kami hindi na kami napipigilan ni direk" Toni shared.
Siblings fighting scenes are one of the reasons to watch this movie, aside also from the perfect timing of their jokes and wittiness. 

They have always wanted to work with each other in the big screen for a long time, the right time for Toni and Alex never really aligned for them in the past. Toni pitched “Mary, Marry, Me’s” concept some three years ago.

“I have so many concepts in mind and I think we waited for the right time na magkatrabaho kami. Lagi kasing dapat magkakatrabaho kami sa TV until finally, I think this is the right time for us to do a movie together kasi we’re both professionals na to handle our relationship on the set,” said Toni.


On the other hand there’s also a reunion of the blockbuster Sam-Tin tandem after 10 years. Sam and Toni have brought kilig to their legions of fans through the films “You Are the One” (2006), “You Got Me” (2007) and “My Big Love” (2008).

“Working with Sam is like going back home also, back to where I started because my first full on rom-com was with Sam under Direk Cathy. So parang I feel more comfortable with him now than our previous films because we’ve matured so much as individuals,” said Toni.

Also there’s the gathering of comedy stars as the lead stars would be joined by reliable comedians in the person of Bayani Agbayani, Moi Bien and Melai Cantiveros. And finally, there’s the fresh rom-com combination not just by a tandem but by Alex, Toni and Sam.

AC BONIFACIO'S BIRTHDAY CONCERT, AC ALL ABOUT IT AT SM SKYDOME


The Dance Sweetheart will be celebrating her 16th birthday with her friends, supporters and fans on December 14, 2018 at SM North EDSA Skydome.


AC is preparing exciting production numbers that will show not only her moves onstage, but also her newest found talent which is singing. Together with her closest friends in entertainment like Jeremy Glinoga – The Voice Teens runner up, and Ken San Jose – Fil-Am singer and hip-hop dancer, AC can't wait to be with her supporters on her birthday concert.



AC Bonifacio is the first-ever Grand Champion of ABS-CBN's Dance Kids alongside Lucky Ancheta in 2016. Placing third in Your Face Sounds Familiar in 2017 and been featured on The Ellen DeGeneres show and in Ariana Grande's concert in Vancouver.




At the recent bloggers conference happened at Pamana Restuarant QC, AC is very happy that a lot of kids and teenagers are following her on social media, especially on You Tube which she usually publish her latest dance moves/craze. She also gave an advised or entourage kids to have a determination in order to achieve the goals on life.
