ANNE CURTIS-SMITH JOINS JOLLIBEE FAMILY




The Dyosa Actress, It's Showtime host Anne Curtis-Smith joins the family of Filipino food brand Jollibee. Together with the "mas pinasarap" Jolllibee's Burger Steak, Anne is so happy and much in love with the brand.

Jollibee’s Burger Steak is “love at first bite” according to Anne Curtis. For her, its beefy patty and savory signature mushroom gravy sauce is the Filipino version of steak and always reminds her of home.

On the other hand, Jollibee is proud to welcome another star to its ever-growing family of celebrity endorsers. Anne’s first project for the homegrown QSR brand is an ad campaign featuring the best-selling Burger Steak, which premiered last February 12, 2017.

“Anne is dynamic and talented, and her cheerful demeanor brings joy to everyone around her,” said Francis E. Flores, Jollibee Global Chief Marketing Officer and Philippines Head of Marketing. “We hope the nation shares our excitement over Anne being the newest endorser of one of Jollibee’s most popular products, the Burger Steak.”

Her journey to stardom began exactly twenty years ago, at a Jollibee store along Boni Avenue in Mandaluyong City.

This is where I got to taste the sweet Jolly Spaghetti, the joys of Chickenjoy, and of course, the Filipino version of steak, the Burger Steak with rice! It started my life here in the Philippines,”

A 12-year-old balikbayan visiting relatives from her mother’s side, Anne was discovered by a talent scout while she was enjoying Jollibee’s signature treats.

“I remember having Chickenjoy and Jolly Spaghetti,” said Anne, who excitedly recounted her ‘discovery’ story. “I wouldn’t be the star I am today if I was not eating at Jollibee 20 years ago. It’s just one of the reasons why Jollibee has a special place in my heart.”

DONATE TO OPERATION SAGIP SURIGAO TO HELP EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS

A magnitude 6.7 earthquake (4km depth) rocked Mindanao at around 10:03 PM PH time / 6:03 AM PST on Friday, February 10, 2017.
  

A state of calamity has been declared by the Mayor of Surigao City. Relief and rescue operations are underway for the barangays that have been affected.

 
Damage to infrastructure and properties caused by the quake will most likely reach P1 billion according to the Philippine Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
 

The number of casualties stand at 8 with more than 200 injured. The earthquake affected 60 barangays, 1,790 families and 9,320 individuals.

The “red alert” status has been maintained by the Caraga Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Management (RDRRMC).

JOLLIBEE CELEBRATES LOVE WITH NEW KWENTONG JOLLIBEE SERIES

To showcase some of the countless love stories that Pinoys have experienced with the country’s number one and beloved fast-food chain, Jollibee has launched three new videos under its highly successful and much raved about #KwentongJollibee series in time for Valentine’s Day. 



In a special exclusive screening at the Ayala Malls The 30th, chosen media got to see firsthand the latest batch of #KwentongJollibee videos that were inspired by true and heartwarming stories of love. The complete cast of the Kwentong Jollibee Valentine series was also present to make the media preview even more special. 





In what could be the most relatable case of unrequited, unconditional love, “Vow” pays homage to people who continue to love, without expecting anything in return. Directed by Lanco dela Cruz (who helmed all previous Kwentong Jollibee materials), it tells the story of a man who fell deeply in love with “the one” from the time he first saw her at a Jollibee store. But fate led them to a different path, and the story perfectly captures how love can take on a different form and still prevail in the end.



The second story “Date” explores the grim realities of life and love, yet brings to light the beautiful gift of endless love. Directed by Pepe Diokno, it showed how a young boy took the effort to arrange a surprise Valentine’s dinner for his mother following his father’s instructions to the letter. The son manages to set up the perfect date with his mom, complete with her Jollibee favorites. The mom was overwhelmed when the son shows her a video recording, which revealed that the Valentine’s date was yet another proof of her husband’s eternal love for her. 



“Crush” is directed by Joel Ruiz and appeals to all the hopeless romantics in us. It is a feel-good and charming tale of a young college boy who’s head-over-heels in love with his schoolmate and who chooses to express his feelings by leaving her with anonymous cheerful notes with her favorite Jollibee burger. Decades later, a homecoming event sees the boy, now an elderly man, making the same romantic gesture for the love of his life. 

Three of the brand’s previous #KwentongJollibee videos (Almusal, Entrance Exam and Mama’s Girl) were among the campaigns recognized in the 2016 Araw Values Awards. Jollibee’s viral Grandparents Day video ‘Kahera’ meanwhile made it to Google Asia Pacific’s YouTube Leaderboard last September 2016 as among the most watched videos in the region -- the only campaign from the Philippines to make it to the list.

Through the years, Jollibee has witnessed many kinds of stories unfold, develop, and flourish in all its stores across the country. This Valentine’s season, Jollibee and its new #KwentongJollibee series invites you to celebrate love and savor the joys that come with the special shared moments.
