MCDONALD'S TAGAYTAY CALAMBA ROAD BRANCH NOW OPEN

McDonald’s Philippines recently marked an important milestone as it opened a one-of-a-kind store in Tagaytay City. Located along Tagaytay Calamba Road, the new store greets locals and tourists with a unique, inviting structure and interiors.

McDonald's Philippines President and Chief Executive Officer Kenneth S. Yang took the lead in opening the new store. Chief Happiness Officer Ronald McDonald and the entire gang were also present to welcome customers.

The store’s first batch of customers enjoyed performances and hourly promos of free McDonald’s food items like the BigMac, Cheeseburger, Burger McDo, Coke McFloat, and Regular Fries. Celebrities Arjo Atayde, JC Santos, Janine Gutierrez, Ruru Madrid, Gabbi Garcia, James Wright, James Teng, and Lucho Ayala also joined in the fun and surprised customers as they served from the front-counter and drive-thru window.

"We envisioned this store to be a modern yet comfortable place where our customers, both young and old, can enjoy. The entire McDonald’s family is beaming with pride and excitement as we finally open its doors," said Yang. "With McDonald’s Tagaytay Calamba Road, we are giving customers a whole new McDonald’s experience as they bask in the beauty that Tagaytay has to offer, with the same great-tasting food and excellent service that McDonald's Philippines has upheld for the past 35 years.”

With Tagaytay being a famous weekend or day trip destination for families and friends, McDonald's wanted to match the experience that people are looking for when they go here with a store design that’s fresh and unique. Materials like raw concrete, brick, and wood were used to give the store a strong connection to the natural beauty of Tagaytay. The store’s al fresco areas show a thoughtful integration of landscape features that serve as a relaxing backdrop for the picturesque view of the Taal lake.

Another element that differentiates this store is the floor dedicated entirely to McCafe – a first in the country – where customers can enjoy a wide array of specialty coffee drinks, cakes, and other pastries. With the Taal lake as the view, the place is perfect for relaxing bonding moments made even better with McCafe’s signature Cappuccino, Americano, Iced Latte, Double Choco Frappe, and the new “Serenade” and “Medley” combos which are Ham & Egg Mayo Croissant and Cappuccino, and Pesto Chicken Ciabatta and McCafe House Blend Iced Tea, respectively.

McDonald’s Tagaytay Calamba Road, located at 3120 Tagaytay Calamba Rd. Brgy. San Jose, Tagaytay City, is open daily from 7AM-2AM.

GIVE YOUR LOVED ONES A HUROM SLOW JUICE SQUEEZE THIS CHRISTMAS

The feasting has already begun, and there will be more as you make the round of holiday parties and reunions before the year is over. Then there’s that steady line of food gifts, likely sweet and decadent pastries most often than not that may be too tempting to resist. Of course this is the season of indulgences, but it’s time to mitigate that with a delicious squeeze. It’s time to apply a full court press…of slow juicing.

The best gift we can give and indeed receive Christmas is the gift of health, because without it, we can’t enjoy all the beautiful things that come with the season such as waking up early for dawn masses and staying up late to watch the various Christmas light shows and displays. For this you need stamina, but the weather and the stress doesn’t necessarily make it easy for a lot of us to be in the pink of health.

A gift of Hurom is not just a gift of health for Christmas, it’s for life. It’s a good idea to start drinking delicious, healthy juices now rather than making a New Year’s resolution in January next year. Besides, more fruits become readily available this season. You know you can’t eat all those 12 fruits people try to gather for a prosperous year ahead, you can, however, juice them and have the healthiest fruit punch to pass around.

Hurom Slow Juicers are the product of 40 years or research and development. The difference is in the squeeze. Normal juicers with high-speed blades shred fruits and vegetables, which damage the natural enzymes of the plant, but Hurom has the patented slow juice technology that presses the juice and keeps the taste and nutrition as close to its most natural state. You can even see the difference in the color. Hurom juices retain their natural color, and a microcospic inspection of the juice shows that the fruits have kept their cellular structure. Hurom Slow Juicers are made of materials like ultem, tritan, and stainless steel, some of which are used to build spaceships. They also come with a long lasting AC motor. Hurom juicers produce a higher yield of juice. They want you to get every last squeeze of healthy, unprocessed juice that you can consume immediately or keep for 72 hours.

Versatility is also something Hurom has taken a lot into consideration. It’s easy to juice luscious fruits, but even crisp greens like kale and spinach are juiced to their maximum with a Hurom Slow Juicer. They also make superior nut milks such as almond, which needs high performing juicing. Asians tend have a higher degree of lactose intolerance in their systems, which makes this a really handy tool for those who need milk substitutes, or indeed just because nut milks in themselves just taste delicious.

With a Hurom juicer, you can confidently pick and choose from a wide range of ingredients. You can also make smoothies, ice-cream and sorbets, using the freshest and healthiest ingredients.

Safety in juicing is something Hurom has gone to great lengths to ensure. Hurom juicers are 100% BPA free and come without any blades or sharp parts, making it safe even for children to use. Over a million customers in more than 70 countries make juice with a Hurom juicer, making Hurom the global leader. Don’t miss out!

2016 New Hurom H-AA Series Slow Juicers are available in Abenson, Anson Link, Duty Free, Gourdo’s, Rustan’s, Landmark, Metro Gaisano, Royal Duty Free, S&R, SM Appliance, SM Home, True Value, and Western Appliances. To learn more about Hurom Slow Juicers, visit the official website at www.hurom.com and follow us on our social media accounts: (Facebook) http://www.facebook.com/huromphofficial, and (Twitter & Instagram) @HuromPHofficial. You may contact directly to hotlines (+632) 926-8038 / (+632) 926-8009.

Celebration_Rusty Jorbina
Good things happen when people get together. This is why, for 19 years, Starbucks Philippines has made it a mission to inspire and nurture the human spirit, one person, one cup, one neighborhood at a time. Its stores serve as the venue where people meet to spend unforgettable moments together.
Starbucks stores located across the country have been a witness to inspired moments of the Filipinos. It is where friends get together, families bond and workmates relax after a long day’s work. It’s a place where people spend their first dates, study for the gruelling final exams and meet prospective clients. “We want our stores to inspire people to create memorable moments. We want the stores to be somewhere they can visit in different phases of their lives – be it for celebrating milestones or even simple gatherings. A third place between work and home,” said Noey Lopez, Starbucks Philippines president.

Aug2016_Relaunch Post_2Maybe it’s the familiar interior across all stores, the inviting atmosphere, or the unmatched professional yet personal service that, for 19 years, Filipinos tend to spend their time there. It’s theStarbucks Experience – the tradition of warm hospitality, constant need for connection, and love for coffee –that make Starbucks Coffee and the Filipino people a great culture fit.
“Since the opening of the first Starbucks store at 6750 Ayala on December 4 1997, we have been committed to providing Filipinos with uplifting coffee experiences not only by celebrating coffee and its rich tradition, but also bringing  a feeling of connection” said Lopez.

Twinning_Inna Go_FINToday, Starbucks is present in 20 provinces and 58 cities across the country. The 300th store opened last December 2 at SM City East Ortigas, Pasig City.

WAREHOUSE SHOPPING WITHOUT THE MEMBERSHIP BEST VALUE FACTORY FOOD OUTLET

This Holiday Season may be the best time to try shopping at the Best Value Factory Food Outlet, one of the best kept secrets in the industry. And best of all, unlike other warehouse outlets, you don’t need a membership. People in the food industry and those with small and medium scale food businesses have been flocking to Best Value even before they opened their doors to the public at large – and now you can, too.

When you name your store Best Value, you need to have the goods to back it up – and they do. They offer factory prices on a host of goods particularly Cooking Oils, Specialty Fats, Baking and Culinary Ingredients and a whole sundry of items you won’t normally find at the supermarket and normal retail outlets. Best Value has a wide assortment of goods at great value and superb quality. Most of their products come from Oleo-Fats, an affiliate company which already manufactures products for food industry leaders and famous food chains.

Initially, the store was just an outlet to sell to Oleo-Fats customers who didn’t meet the larger volume orders, according to Princess Guia, Best Value’s ebullient Sales and Operations Supervisor. But this year they realized that expansion meant choices, and so they decided to carry other brands as well, making them a full-fledged store.
One of the reasons the store expanded to include more and more items is simply because the customers kept asking.  For instance, since they already sold the soft serve mixes, customers also looked for the cones, the syrups and the toppings. “They wanted basic commodities, like flour and sugar, so our goal is to complete the product lines,” says Guia.  This is why you’ll also see products adjacent items such as packaging material and chocolate and cookie molds.

Predictably, Food Service and Horeca (Hotel, Restaurant, CafĂ©) industries make up a large portion of their customer base. The rest have food kiosks/stalls bakeries, some are hobbyists and homemakers. Pretty much anyone will benefit from their products. “For all your culinary needs” is not just a tagline. They have a range of mixes, syrups, sauces, toppings, flavorings, spices, breadings, among other dry goods and even frozen meats. While food items are their primary product, there are also other like soaps, cleaners and laundry detergents because the food service companies also need those and their parent company, D&L Industries, manufactures those products as well.

The company also encourages entrepreneurship with their HANEP (Buhay) Negosyo Packages. The store sells equipment such as soft serve ice-cream makers, granita slushee mixes, juice mixes, 3-in-1 Vendo, and Popcorn Maker. It’s a smart move as they’ve become a one-stop shop for all your entrepreneurial needs. The streamlining just makes it easier. They also conduct free seminars and demos to educate interested customers.

As always, it’s the people who really make the experience shopping here an enjoyable experience. Best Value knows their customers not just because they’re often repeat customers, but because they engage them, and it’s those personal touches that really make the customers feel heard. When some of their shoppers went looking for Organic Apple Cider Vinegar in the shop because there was a shortage in the usual places, Guia herself searched for other suppliers and it wasn’t long before they were on the shelf. It is this kind of personalized service and the products themselves that have brought fast growth to the company and definite expansion plans for next year. As Guia puts it, “We are also learning from the customers.”

Best Value Factory Food Outlet is located at 62 Calle Industria, Bagumbayan, Quezon City, (02) 635 0680 loc 386, 0918 903 9328. Store Hours: 9AM-7PM daily. Visit and like their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/BestValueFFO/
