UNICEF launches Children First Storybooks with Anne Curtis

United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF), recently launch the Children First Storybooks with UNICEF Celebrity Advocate for Children, Anne Curtis at SM North EDSA supported by SM Cares.



The UNICEF Children First Storybooks is a collection of six books that make reading more enjoyable and enhance children's imagination. The collection talks about different topics from overcoming shyness, cultivating friendships, express oneself, self confidence, better understanding of other feelings and reaching for one's dreams. All are presented in colorful illustration to motivate kids to open the book and read.

UNICEF ambassador Anne Curtis graced the event from the press conference at Lugang Cafe, ribbon cutting of the art exhibit located at the 2nd Floor of SM North EDSA, book reading and signing. The children are very happy with the activities that day specially when Curtis started to read a book included on the collection which she has written, "Anita, the Duckling Diva".



"I am very happy to have written my very first children's book, which I hope can help children particularly  with their self-confidence and self-esteem. I believe that children should be given all the emotional and moral support they need as they grow s they can express themselves with confidence and explore their full talent" Curtis said.



To complete the collection includes "Ang Sabi ni Nanay", Ang Sabi ni Tatay by Sacha Calagopi, "Ang Dalawang Haring Siga" by Rene Villanueva, "Ang Bata sa Basket" by Augie Rivera, "Yaya Niya, Nanay Ko" by Corazon Remigio and "Nina Wonders, Nina Asks" by Marcy Dans Lee.

The UNICEF Children First Storybooks are now available for 500Php (six books) at SM North EDSA from February 20-25, 2016.
