According to Wikipedia, "Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that focuses on diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine, under the belief that these disorders affect general health via the nervous system."
The main chiropractic treatment technique involves manual therapy, especially manipulation of the spine, other joints, and soft tissues. But, treatment may also include exercises and health and lifestyle counseling.

In the everyday struggle of a person like me, the daily grind is so taxing. Starting with the daily commute to work in a busy and traffic-prone megacity, to sitting down for long hours in front of a computer, who wouldn't get tired? Sometimes, I also have to carry heavy bags full of gadgets and equipment which I need in my line of work.
What makes the situation worse is the noise and air pollution that gets on my nerves, especially when I'm out on the field.

At the end of a day's work, I go to bed with my aching joints and muscles and a back that's hurting from my workload.
But I know that when I find a real solution to fight and combat all of these, I can get back on the right track and I will be able to enjoy my life to the fullest.
Last week I've been invited to try the chiropractic medicine by Dr. George Cromack.
At first, I was hesitant. But since I have been experiencing lower back pain and migraines for a long time, which even pain relievers cannot ease, I gave it a go. I'm glad to say that I made the right decision.
Treating an illness is more than just alleviating pain and its symptoms, it is done by helping a patient achieve a higher level of wellness that allows him to enjoy his life more fully. Dr. George Cromack, the esteemed chiropractor and co-founder/director of the Renew Yourself Regeneration and Youth Program, abides by this simple and honorable philosophy.
Through chiropractic medicine, Dr. Cromack improves the health of thousands of Filipinos, helping them find relief from persistent pain that stems from spinal problems. He treats cases that include (but are not limited to) headaches and migraines, sciatica, carpal tunnel, and neck and back problems. This is where Dr. Cromack’s expertise and 33 years as a chiropractor lend itself.“When it comes to pain, people usually take pain relievers and muscle relaxants to alleviate pain, but medication only offers temporary relief. As a chiropractor, I identify whether your pains stem from problems in your spine, neck and back. I address the underlying factors that contribute to it, ensuring results and greater well-being,” says Dr. Cromack.

After more than 15 minutes, the session ended. I felt some kind of relief but I also felt a bit of pain and numbness in my neck area and some part of my back. Dr. Cromack said, these feelings are normal after a session and will lessen in 2 to 3 days. He advised me to just put a bag of ice for at least 5 minutes on the affected areas, before I go to sleep.
That night, I had one of the best sleeps I ever had in my entire life.
Before I had a chiropractic session with Dr. Cromack, it takes me more than an hour after lying down on the bed, before I can finally go to sleep. I toss and turn around my bed, not because I was thinking or worrying about something, but because my aching lower back gives me trouble. I used to rest my head on two pillows because it somehow relieves my back pain.
But now, I just sleep using one pillow. Sometimes, I can even sleep without any pillow at all. I am so happy that my back is not hurting anymore. My back is pain-free, at last!
When and if you go to Dr. Cromack for a chiropractic treatment, he will advise you how many sessions you will need, depending on the severity of your spine nerve flow. Dr. Cromack will not only advise you not only about the right posture but he will also teach you about the right kind of food to eat. Truly, he practices a holistic approach to healing, so one can achieve optimum health.
One thing that impressed me about Dr. Cromack was when he said, “My goal is to get the patient feeling better in the quickest time possible. Once you’ve helped a patient get out of pain, you can start to inspire, motivate, and educate him on how to take better care of himself and his body. As a doctor, I think that’s the really exciting part. We at the clinic aspire to guide our patients towards a higher level of wellness and an improved quality of life.” I also took note of his advice that even healthy individuals who don’t experience pain will benefit from maintenance chiropractic care.
