HDR Foods Corporation's Mother's Best is a brand known for its line of prepared and ready-to-use condiments, marinades and sauces. Together with the number one magazine that connecting foodies COOK Magazine, they launch the Cook Academy Asian Fusion Festival at Our Lady of Fatima University.
The Cook Academy Asian Fusion Festival is a cooking competition and seminar, participated by the students from the College of Hospitality and Institutional Management (CHIM). It offers wider learning and exciting activities like cooking demonstration and discussion about food and cooking from the renowned chefs and related field.
Cook Academy Asian Fusion Festival at Our Lady of Fatima University was opened by the representative of the sponsor Mother's Best General Manager Gabriel Reyes and says "Students chefs can provide us new exciting recipes for our products as well as possible sauces which they can formulate using their own creativity nd knowledge they got from the school." The COOK Magazine's Editor-In-Chief, Chef Dino Datu together with Chef Winston Jerome Luna of Caterer and Event Specialist, showed and shared tips and expertise in cooking by demonstrating their own version of Asian Fusion Dishes. Chef Datu made Black Pepper Crab, Singapore Chili Prawns and Easy Claypot Rice, all using Mother's Best products.
On the other hand, Chef Luna cooked Oriental Wings with Chinese Greens and he also took chance to shared his knowledge to the students by having a seminar on what it takes to be successful in food related ventures.
Moreover, the culinary competition started, the students is grouped into five with two members, which cooked a course meal (Appetizer, Main Course 1 and 2) using Mother's Best Barbeque Marinade, Mother's Best Hot Sauce and Mother's Best Oyster Sauce. They used stoves provided by Fujidenzo and cooking implements provided by Masflex.
