Pinoy Big Brother ex-housemates, Maris Racal and Manola Pedrosa stars in the newest movie that will brings you to a world of horoscope, beliefs and love. "Stars Versus Me" is based on the best-selling novel with the same title written by Joven Tan, who also directed this film.
At the recently grand press conference happen at Semicon Building in Marikina City, director Joven explained that the movie focus on how a person live each day with a horoscope as a guide and the everlasting story of love.
"Alam naman nating ang mga Filipino ay isa sa mga bansang mahilig sa pagbabasa ng horoscope o naniniwala sa mga hula, so ipinakita namin yun dito at ang kakaibang pagmamahal ng dalawang character nila Sonny at Elena" direk Joven said.
Both Maris and Manolo started a friendship at Pinoy Big Brother house, reason why they are very comfortable working to each other in this movie. They even continue working as the cast of morning program Oh My G lead by Janella Salvador.
"Nagkakausap po kami talaga kaya wala na o kaming ilangan sa pag tatrabaho, saka nakilala po namin ang isa't-isa nuong nasa loob kami ng bahay ni Kuya at nagyon po sa OMG" Maris shared."Nagpapasalamat po kami ng husto kasi pinagkatiwalaan kami ni direk Joven at marami po kaming natutunan sa kanya".
We even asked them if they have special feelings for each other before or during making the film which adds to the excitement as a newest love-team.
"Ay hindi po eh, wala po, hindi po ako mahihiyang sabihin na no girlfriend since birth ako at hindi marunong manligaw, pero masasabi ko po na mas close po kmi ngayon ni Maris." Manolo divulged.
"Apo nagkaroon napo ako ng bf dati mga 17 po ako nun at sa ngayon wala po at kami po ni Manolo at mag-kaibigan lang po talaga, ganun lang, tutok po muna ako sa work ko ngayon at wala ng iba po" Maris shared.
Some of the cast believe in horoscope or reading and some are not, but they made sure that they gave all their efforts to make this movie for fun and entertaining. Cast also includes Janine Desiderio, Matet De leon, Dennis Padilla, Kiray Celis and Rita Avila with special participation of Ejay Falcon.
The movie is set to shown in cinemas nationwide on June 3, 2015. Produced by TanDem Productions.
