McDonald’s introduces its first-ever Happy Meal Books

Family is a fundamental group of a society consist of parents and children. The smallest unit of the community that believe in common culture and norms. A group of individual that share and love each other to strengthen the bond and their relationship. Family is where McDonald's focused on, in doing Happy Meal Books.

Starting today McDonald’s iconic “Happiness in a Box” comes with a storybook, that we can now called "Happy Meal Books". This story book is to inspire families to read and share stories together after a long days of work (parents) and study (children). At the same time this is to promote also the spirit of learning and to tight the bonding of a family.

Collect all six Happy Meal Books and complete the “The Magic School Bus” series featuring the adventures of Ms. Fizzle and her class as they travel onboard a school bus to incredible destinations such as the solar system, the ocean floor, inside the Earth, and during the time of Dinosaurs. Each book also comes with a specially designed Happy Meal bookmark.

Every purchase of a Happy Meal with Happy Meal Book goes to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), McDonald’s charity of choice that will greatly help other children to learn on how to read through its Ronald McDonald Read to Learn program. 

Ronald McDonald Read to Learn program aims to promote reading to first grade public school students by providing reading kits for both students and teachers.  The program, in partnership with the Department of Education, has benefitted over 8.6 million students since it started in 2001.
