House Of Cards Season 3, Frank Underwood is now the President

The Emmy Award and Golden Globes winner, House Of Cards, a political drama television series  continues as it opens its Season 3 today, 9:50PM at RTL CBS Entertainment channel 53 on SkyCable and Destiny Cable. 

Francis "Frank" Underwood (Kevin Spacey) is now the President of USA, from being a Democratic Congressman from South Carolina, appointed to Secretary of State and Vice President. Together with his wife Claire Underwood (Robin Wright), they continue their ruthless rise to power, support each others ambition under their love and sex. The Underwoods must overcome the threats brought by the past and present to avoid losing everything they have.

Recently an exclusive advanced viewing happen at Greenbelt My Cinema, the first two episodes seen by the members of the press and all are automatically hooked in the drama series. Admittedly, I followed the first season of the series and some part of season 2, reason I am that focused watching it. Frank is now the president and I am loving the first episodes and looking forward for the things he will going do to maintain his position.

REO Brothers of Tacloban City, releases debut album

Typhoon Yolanda hits Tacloban City in 2013, but this doesn't stop the determination and ambition of Otic siblings, also known as REO Brothers (R-initial of names, E-initial maiden name and O- surname) to show their talents to the world. An attitude that motivate their manager and Star Music to support them.

At a young age REO Brothers started playing hit songs of '60s and '70s, their own rendition of music icons like The Beatles, Beach Boys, Gary Lewis and more are remarkable. Until they performed in Manila at the ABS-CBN Christmas Special last year at The SMART Araneta Coliseum, which was given an standing ovation.

At the press conference happen Cowboy Grill Timog Avenue, REO Brothers admitted that they have not yet offer a concert (solo) at their hometown, due busy schedule here and abroad. Though they perform as a guest for a certain fund raising show for Tacloban, they want to have a full concert in the near future.

"Hindi pa po kami nakakapag-concert sa Tacloban kasi po palagi kami may schedule dito sa Manila, saka po sa ibang bansa, pero mangyayari po na mag-coconcert kami kasi gusto rin po namin" Ralph said.

February 24, 2015 marked the momentous celebration for Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, an American global doughnut company and coffeehouse which is available worldwide including Philippines. Today Krispy Kreme's 1000th shop open in Kansas City, Kansas USA and was celebrated globally.

PETA Theater's "ARBOL DE FUEGO"

Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) brings you an adaptation of Anton Chekhov's "The Cherry Orchard". PETA proudly closes their 47th Season with this classic play and ensemble brilliant acting on stage. The team up of the award winning writer Rody Vera and  world-renowned NYC based designer director Loy Arcenas.

The story of an aristocratic family in Negros Occidental (1970), which having a hard time on facing the truth about the real situation of their family. Lead by Enriquetta Jardeleza-Sofronio played by Ms. Cherie Gil, as she comes home from Madrid after so many years and forced to sell family's estate to pay their debts. 

I have the chance to watch the gala night at PETA Theater Center in QC and I find it very empowering one, specially from the women who move or control the family's decision. Enriquetta (Gil), a middle-age lady who decides to sell the estate, Charito (Angeli Bayani) adapted by the Jardeleza's and the one who decides everything in the house specially when Enriquetta's family living in Madrid. Also Nina (Anna Luna), the only daughter of Enriquetta who decides for herself and help control the decisions and emotions of her mother and of course LingLing (Divine Grace Aucina), Jardeleza's help for years who decides for herself, to love or not to love hehe..

To complete the cast includes Bembol Roco, Leo Rialp, Riki Benedicto, Gie Onida, Anthony Falcon, Lao Rodriquez and Kiki Baento.

Attractive, affordable offers

Android One, is Google's global initiative to bring high-quality smartphones to as many people as possible, aims bring affordable and high-quality smartphones to users in the Philippines through partnerships with phone manufacturers and telecom operators like Smart.

Smart has partnered with Cherry Mobile and MyPhone to bring the Android One experience to both Smart and Sun subscribers nationwide, with attractive postpaid plans (include FREE data allowance for Android OS updates and Google Play downloads for the first six months of the subscription) and prepaid SIM bundles that come packed with free mobile data for Google Play app downloads and the latest Android OS updates or FREE data allowance for Android OS updates, Google Play downloads, and Google search for those who will purchase the MyPhone Uno phone. Every Android One phone sold in the Philippines will come with the latest Android “Lollipop” mobile operating system pre-installed, and will receive timely Android OS updates once Google releases them to users worldwide. Android “Lollipop” brings a suite of enhancements to Google’s mobile operating system, including a new design language called “Material Design,” notification improvements, a battery saver feature, and multiple-user capability that allows for separate user accounts for friends or family members, among many others.
Additionally, Android One phone users will be able to download paid apps on Google Play and make in-app purchases using their prepaid loads or charge it to their postpaid accounts. They would simply have to click “Enable Smart Communications billing” when they make a Google Play transaction so they can enjoy their favorite apps and games even without a credit card.

Coca-Cola Ph's revealed the #PerfectCoke, #SarapNgFirst taste at 3˚ Celsius

Many have seen the newest commercial of Coca-Cola with Happiness Ambassadors Jerome Ponce and Janella Salvador. Jerome pouring a bottle of Coke into a glass with ice and Janella immediately comes into the picture and drink the glass of Coke that Jerome prepared. I can't blame Janella drinking the Coke once she saw it hehehe... 

Last Sunday February 15, Another surprise was finally launched by Coca-Cola Philippines, the much talked about Coca-Cola teased stating "tasting Coke for the first time again". Many was puzzled on how this could happen as the popular drink Coke has been in the country for more than 100 years. Now puzzle solved!! by suggesting and announcing "Chill your Coca-Cola bottle up to 3˚ Celsius and there you have a #PerfectCoke and drink it like the first time you have it, truly a #SarapNgFirst taste. 

This launched to the public was simultaneously done across the country – with key venues in Abreeza Mall Davao, Ayala Center Cebu, and Glorietta Mall in Makati. The afternoon was made more fun by performances from the Coke Ambassadors. Julia Montes & Jerome Ponce joined the celebration in Abreeza, Joseph Marco & Janella Salvador fired up Cebu, and Miles Ocampo & Manolo Pedrosa doubled the happiness in Glorietta.

Giant Coolers filled with ice and Coca-Cola bottles welcomed us to the venue same with the all venues nationwide and were set up. These came with giant thermometers showing the coolers’ temperatures, which started at 10˚ Celsius. Until it drops to 3˚ Celsius and ready to drink the #PerfectSarap chilled bottle of Coca-Cola.

The ambassadors and Coke officials then gave away samples of perfectly chilled Coca-Cola to the audience. True enough, Coke chilled to perfection is nothing like you’ve ever had before. Even avid Coke drinkers must be wondering how they’ve never had Coca-Cola this good. 

In able to reach out to as many Filipinos as possible, Coca-Cola also introduced the new Coke Happy Cycles. After the simultaneous launch, these coolers on wheels were sent out to the streets and have since been going around barangays to serve perfectly chilled Coke.

SMART announces the first in the world "Pay-With-Mobile" load service for iTunes and App Store

Last December 2014, Smart Communications announces the first ever pay-with-mobile and best convenient way to pay apps and contents online for Android users or purchases at Google Play. 

This year, in fact recently, Smart announces another first ever pay-with-mobile innovation for service and mobile innovation for iOS users. The subscribers provided with great convenience of paying for apps, games, books, magazines, music, and movies on their Apple devices using only their prepaid load or charged on top of their monthly postpaid bill.

“Pay-With-Mobile” is the newest service that you will not ever be using your credit card to purchase content and app in the App Store and iTunes instead it will directly use your Prepaid load or in Postpaid account, I know its all been waiting by iOS users in the Philippines to maximized the full potential of their Apple devices.

The service works by giving subscribers the ability to sign up for a Pay-With-Mobile number which they can use exclusively with their iTunes accounts. The service will begin rolling out on February 16, with full availability by February 18.

Fast and easy Registration

Register by texting REG to 4949. After texting, they will receive their Pay-With-Mobile number and other pertinent account details. Once ready, users can go to the Apple ID Account Settings page on iTunes or the App Store, select “MasterCard” as their payment option, and enter the number and other details on their corresponding fields.

Once the card number is associated with the account, users can already purchase all the apps, games, movies and music on their phones, as well as make in-app purchases within “freemium” apps. For every successful transaction, subscribers will receive an SMS notification to inform them of the purchase.*
