Aleph & Sud Band are making music together even in the young age and stays in their passion in music at young adults, until their manager Enzo Valdez found them, become best of friends and now helping each other on the main stream.

Aleph trained by several music and voice coaches from classical to pop genres but she had been confined to the boundaries set by the rules she grew with. She also experience being rejected from auditions but never gave up on her passion and enhancing her talent into music by making and writing songs, until today.

On the other hand SUD Band also a product of music lovers, found each other through their journey into music. Composed of Sud Ballecer on vocals and guitar, Marc Reyes on bass, Jimbo Cuenco on drums, Gelo Acosta on Lead Guitar, Carlos de la Fuente on Sax and Kohl Aguilar on Keyboard. Last year they caught the attention of music lover with the release of their first single and music video "Smilky", then follows with three other songs like "Safer", "Profanities" and "Sila" which became a hit also.

The 19th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival on February 12 to 15

The 19th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival is all set for another historic Weekend of Everything That Flies. A weekend not only hot air balloons in different forms and shapes but also aerobatic exhibitions, skydiving, powered paragliding, aviation formation and more.

The Philippines’ first, foremost and longest-running gathering of aviators and aviation enthusiasts from around the globe and set on February 12 to 15 at the Philippine Air Force ADAC Hangar in Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga.

Earlier last year, a memorandum of agreement to hold the annual balloon fiesta was signed by Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) president Arnel Casanova, Clark Development Corporation (CDC) president Arthur Tugade, Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) president, (then) chief executive officer Victor Jose Luciano, and Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Foundation Inc. (PIHABF) president Capt. Joy Roa at the Asian Air Safari hangar in Pasay City (story HERE).

Four full days of flying activities—including hot air ballooning, aerobatic exhibitions, skydiving, powered paragliding, aviation formation, search and rescue flight demonstrations, and balloon bursting, among other aviation spectacles—await attendees and participants to the highly anticipated event.

This year’s highlights include a total of 32 hot air balloons participating from all over the world, with special-shaped balloons featuring Old MacDonald’s Farm, Maximus the Beagle Dog, Burnie the Little Devil, Upside Down Balloon, Miss Daisy, Old Lady & the Shoe, Little Girl and Little Boy, Pink Elephant, Octopus, and Vincent Van Gogh, among a host of colorful traditional balloons.

Beauty for a cause

As part of this year’s activities, PIHABF also launched the search for Miss Aviation. First staged in the 1970s, this one-of-a-kind beauty pageant aims to promote, advocate and inspire the youth to take up a career in aviation, and support the country’s local tourism efforts. Twenty (20) female aviation students and professionals will vie for the title which will be awarded on February 10, 2015 during the Annual Aviator’s Ball to be held at the Manila Peninsula.

According to Captain Joy Roa, event director, the fiesta is a platform for improving the country’s aviation standing through collaboration and interaction with international aviators. “We have so much to learn from our foreign counterparts, and this fiesta is an opportunity to share and exchange cultures and ideas. Of course, this is also a chance for us to showcase the world renowned Filipino hospitality,” she said.

Entrance tickets for the 19th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival are at Php300 each, which proceeds will be donated to the PIHABF Foundation Scholarship Fund, granting scholarships to deserving but underprivileged students pursuing an aviation career in partnership with Air Link International Aviation School and the Philippine Air Transport and Training Services. Cornerstone Music releases THOR "Master Of Soul" album

Recently Thor Dulay's latest album "Master Of Soul" produced by Cornerstone Music, and distributed by Star Music, has launch at Music Hall, Metrowalk Ortigas. The event was attended by Thor's dear friends specially Apl.De.Ap, supporters and media who always beside him through the years. 

Thor's journey is not an easy path nor a newbie in the music industry. His releases his debut album in 2004 "Believe In Me" and 'Wonderland" under Warner Music, 2007 "Duets With Thor" under Ivory Records and number of shows, front-acts for various concert of local and international singers.

Today Thor officially releases his newest album " Master Of Soul", composed of 12 tracks that includes six (6) revivals and five (5) original and a bonus track. Habitat For Humanity Philippines' Pamaskong Handog in Calauan, Laguna

Habitat For Humanity Philipppines (HFHP) once again give a gift for almost 400 home partners of Calauan, Laguna. HFHP together with one of their supporters, HSBC took part in the final activity of HFHP's Pamaskong Handog 2014 activity.

I ask one of the residents of Calauan, Laguna and says "Napakasaya po namin at nabiyayaan kami ng bahay ng Habitat at ngayon po ay hindi din nila kami nakakalimutan pinapuntahan palagi at patuloy na binibiyayaan lalo pag may okasyon po." 

Habitat together with its friends and supporters who believed in the same vision, continuously helping not only individuals or family but mostly the community that built within the homes they built.

The Pamaskong Handog event started with a production number coming from the kids of the community. It is indeed a nice performance from the children, specially wearing smiles on their faces while dancing. A great way to say "Thank You" for HFHP, HSBC and volunteers.

Then the Pamaskong Handog, gift giving started, while others, are enjoying the games, arts and of course sweet treats specially for the kids from HFHP and HSBC. 

After which, we also had a chance to roam around the community to witness the place where the children study, to see the small scale business (Paper Making), to feel how fresh and cold the place, because their houses are at the foot of the mountain and also to interview some residents.

It was indeed a fun, exciting and meaningful day at Calauan, Laguna. I always have a fulfilling day after joining HFHP activities. I am forever be glad to be one of Online Champion of Habitat For Humanity Philippines. Until next time, i'll be sharing more of HFHP activities.

Xian Lim, is the voice of UK's iconic bear "PADDINGTON", showing February 11

The United Kingdom's most love iconic bear Paddington in a series of books authored by Michael Bond, has a film that will show his adventure and exciting events. "Paddington" the movie is produced by David Heyman, also the producer of "Harry Potter". He is also the one who personally approved our local voice for "Paddington".

Xian Lim is the voice behind the animated character of "Paddington", that will be shown on February 11 in cinemas nationwide. Other country's also have their own local voice for Paddington, like Ben Whihshaw for US and other international release.

"I am very proud that I'm behind the voice of Paddington and David Heyman himself chose me as the one, at the same time very excited because it is a different thing and a different side of me" Xian said.

Like Paddington, Xian is also curious about the things that surrounds him and he admitted that he find it difficult to speak British accent, but with the help of his trainor and constant practice, he finish the dubbing of the film for two (2) days only, far from he expected like a week or more.

The local distributor of the movie "Paddington" in the country, Captive Cinema Marketing Director Maver Mayuga says "Xian Lim is our best choice and he did very well, he works professionally and efficiently, we all thank him for accepting the voice behind Paddington."

Star Cinema's "Halik Sa Hangin" showing January 28

Star Cinema brings you a romantic mystery-thriller movie that will make you think twice about love. Is love come with a price? Is love everlasting? Is love about second chances?, these are some of the questions that will try to answer by the film. This is a new experience for Filipino movie goers. A movie shot mostly in Baguio City and will let you see the different part of it.

"Halik Sa Hangin" starred by Julia Montes, Gerald Anderson and JC De Vera. Directed by Manny Palo and screenplay by Enrico Santos. A Star Cinema salvo for the year 2015.

The story is about a girl Mia (Julia), who fell in love for the very first time. She's from Manila but something happen that made her decide to stay in Baguio City where she met Gio (Anderson) and Alvin (De Vera). Basically the important events happen in her life started when she met the two.

Julia is known for her best dramatic scenes, evident on the previous films and TV series that she made but she emphasized at the bloggers conference that we will see a different side of her in this film.

"Personally na-excite ako sa movie na ito and nag-exert ako ng effort to study my character, because there is a part na ngayon ko lang ginawa and the viewers should watch out for it" Julia said. 

"We actually under took sensual workshop for us to do justice for a particular scenes"

Eventually she also finds the love she has been longing for through the help of her husband and daughters.

ABS-CBN's have many surprises at the beginning of the year, one of these is the newest Kapamilya Gold TV series that will reunite one of the famous '90s iconic love team MarJo. Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin are the newest lead on the latest ABS-CBN Kapamilya Gold "FlordeLiza".

A family tv series that will make your every afternoon full of realizations and lessons which can help you and the members of your family have a better and balance way of quality living.

FlordeLiza is about a story of two families with different situation in life but living on the wings of love. Focuses on two mothers Florida (Jolina) and Elizabeth (Desiree del Valle) and their daughters Flor (Ashley Sarmiento) and Liza (Rhed Bustamante) respectively, who will be drawn closer by love but torn apart by one sad truth.

I had a chance to watch the first five episodes of FlordeLiza and I will definitely recommend this to my friends who love MarJo.

The series is so relate able, a story that you experience or witnessed one way or another in your life. A  series that will teach you understand things around and not to judge one's person immediately. 

Since the new series is under the direction of Wenn, expect to have an inserts of comedy every now and then, which is the masterpiece and honed to do by the director.

ABS-CBN's latest Prime-Tanghali "OH MY G" starts January 19

The newest ABS-CBN show will start on January 19 at 11:30 a.m., the TV series starred by Janella Salvador, Nikki or Nik-Nik of the previous successful Prime-Tanghali series "Be Careful With My Heart". 

The drama and romance story of Sophie and her struggles in school, friends, love and faith. The portrayal of a teenager that encounters a turn around of events in her life and how she will or should handle it together with God. Yes with God, in different form, be it a young gorgeous man, an old man with white hairs, a woman vendor etc.

It is said that it was made intentionally to the request of Carmelite nuns to ABS-CBN President Charo Santos-Concio, in celebration of the 5th Birth Centenary of Saint Teresa of Avila. 

"I am very happy and honor that ABS trusted me to portray as Sophie Cepeda, until now I am still overwhelm na ako yung napili nila para sa teleseryeng ito" Janella said.

In a modern technology that we have right now, youngsters have more time online for surfing the net, Facebook, Twitter etc and with the latest trends, latest issues are evolving also and God will reach them through whatever, any way and in any face.
