Leading beverage brand MILO once again welcomes competitive student-athletes in displaying their winning energy in the 27th MILO Little Olympics. It was recently concluded in Visayas which University of San Carlos, top the ranks for both elementary and secondary divisions.
Today it was announced that the 27th MILO Little Olympics NCR leg is set to kick off in Marikina Sports Complex, Marikina City, on August 22 to 24, 30 to 31.
MILO Little Olympics was born from MILO’s unwavering commitment in helping and preparing the next generation's sports heroes by not only developing their athletic skills but most of all the mental discipline of the student-athletes, with 13 sporting events like Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Chess, Football, Gymnastics, Lawn Tennis, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tae Kwon Do, Volleyball, Sepak Takraw and Scrabble. More so, enhances their body and mind for international leagues like the Asian Youth Games, The Universiade as well as the SEA Games.
This year MILO Little Olympics step-up in terms of processing athletes needs from documentations like the electronic registration, insurance coverage for all athletes and the use of top of the line sports equipment.
MILO will also be awarding top 50 Most Outstanding Athletes in the MILO Little Olympics and provide them with special prizes.
Under its One Child, One Sport (OCOS) program in partnership with the Department of Education, MILO reinforces its commitment to grassroots sports development for youth through the MILO Little Olympics. Together with the DepEd, MILO promotes an active and healthy lifestyle among aspiring young Filipino athletes.
Watch out also for the next leg of 27th MILO Little Olympics for Luzon on September 5 to 7, 13 to 14 (Baguio City Athletic Bowl), and then will return to Marikina for the National Finals on October 24 to 26.
