In his keynote address during the formal opening, Manalo said this event focused on helping our local entrepreneurs reach a wider domestic market and thus become more competitive, by improving quality, as well as marketing and selling products. The fair, dubbed as Piling-Piling Pananamit Pilipino, showcased the products of 150 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in apparel, footwear, leather goods, bags, accessories, jewelry, and health and wellness products. With the success of the Sikat Pinoy fairs last year, the DTI has set a more ambitious target this year by holding stand-alone trade fairs for the sectors that have a competitive advantage like the fashion industry.
