Repertory Philippines Season 77 started the year right by staging first the thriller written by Frederick Knott, WAIT UNTIL DARK directed by theater veteran Miguel Faustmann.
The story evolve upon the thrilling part of Suzy's life a blind housewife who finds herself terrorized by three strange men. The men is in search for a doll that has been filled with heroin which her husband has mistakenly transported the doll across the Canadian border and into their apartment. Suzy must rely on her instincts, with the help of a neighbor girl Gloria and the cover of darkness to outwit the dangerous strangers and protect her life.

WAIT UNTIL DARK’s masterfully constructed thriller with plenty of intrigue and action promises to move the audiences from one moment of suspense to another as it builds toward an electrifying, breath-stopping final scene.
The actress specially Liesl Batucan (Suzy) mastered the stage and her movements, because as a blind woman it is not difficult to move, it is hard, but she deliver the lines realistically and I am almost at the edge of my seat especially when the stage turned into darkness (you have to watch for it, to know what I mean).
Though Arnel Carrion (Mr. Roat) got the role in three days from initial play date, he really did it very very well. I honestly felt a murderer in him, plus the fact that he's tall and have an eyes that really kills when in character.
I like Dani Gana (Gloria) as well, I first saw her in "Alice In Wonderland" as she played the lead role Alice, I can say that she is the future of the stage. From face expressions, movements, and the way she speaks, she really did well what the stage requires.
This is a must see play, specially to the people who likes mystery case, suspense and thriller story. Do watch Repertory Philippines' first theater play of the year Wait Until Dark. For inquiries, Repertory Philippines is now accepting reservations for schools, civic groups and corporate sponsorship.
