The Young Casts of Dugong Buhay

Dugong Buhay has been airing with high rating at ABC-CBN's Kapamilya GOLD for almost a month now and gaining rave reviews. From a film-like series to a row of veteran and new actors, the series have taken different level. Sometimes I had a chance to watch the series and I am looking forward every exciting happenings of the show.

Dugong Buhay young casts that includes Ejay Falcon, Arjo Atayde, Yam Concepcion, Jed Montero and Ketchup Eusebio met the press last Monday April 29 at ELJ Building to share great experiences and impart newest knowledge from acting and continue to become a better person. 

"Masaya po ako at isa po ako sa napili para maging Victor sa Dugong Buhay, pinaghandaan ko po talaga ang aking pangangatawan at pag-arte dito" Ejay shared. "Mas natuwa po ako sa mga kasama ko, lalo na po si Tito Nonie, natutunan kopo sa kanya pano umanggulo sa camera, kasi may nuances po ako na hindi nakikita pero ngayon natututo na po ako" Ejay added.

"Masaya and proud po kami at naa-appreciate po ng audience or viewers yung pinaghihirapan po at quality ng artista at buong team ng Dugong Buhay, maraming salamat po" Ketchup explain.

I'm sure you all notice about the fight or action scenes of the actors especially Victor and Raphael characters is so intense. "Sa rehearsal palang po ng bawat action scenes, pinapakita napo namin ang best namin, para pag take napo naiiwasan na din ang sakitan at para perfect napo pag may camera na" Arjo explained about fighting scenes which male viewers like to watch in an afternoon series.

Yam and Jed are two young women in this series that give colors and meaning in the lives of Victor and Raphael. Aside from getting positive feedback on their performances on the show, Yam and Jed also building a good relationship in terms of acting and chemistry on camera, with their partners in the series. 

Yam and Arjo were good friends before they got into showbiz that's why they have a great chemistry on and off camera. Since Yam, just started in showbiz and its her first tv series, there are times that she get intimidated with her co-actor and actresses."Nung una po kay Sir Lito Pimentel, kasi sya po yung unang veteran actor na naka eksena ko, pero after awhile, i got so comfortable kasi they share what they know, hindi sila madamot and I take it to heart and mind and use it to my advantage also to be good and better actress" Yam said.

Jed who's an athlete and admitted to have a different role in this series from her real life. "Malayo po ang character ko sa series sa tunay na buhay, pa girl po ako masyado dito, pero through it mas natututo po ako na gumanap ng isang karater sa anuman pong projects na dadating pa" Jed shared.

Deramas, in theaters May 15, 2013.

From the success of 24/7 In Love, which Zanjoe played as gay, this time you will have a full blast of Zanjoe-ish which played as tall, dark and hunky Brando and sweet, fashionable and with bangs Brandy. I saw the movie 24/7 and I really like how Zanjoe portrayed the role as a gay. But seeing the full trailer of the movie Bromance, I think I have to get ready of what will happen hehhe...

I'm sure 100% laughter for all movie goers is assured in this movie, also the sexy and sophisticated Christine Reyes will be here. Zanjoe and Christine worked and paired before and I think they worked in Banana Split as well, the gag show really teach them the right timing and exact execution of how to give fun and laughter to the people.

Blood Brothers Aid Inc. Supports World Hemophilia Month

Hemophilia is a hereditary medical condition that occurs in males more often than females, and could affect the young as well as the elderly. Characterized by the inability for blood to clot properly. In special cases, a change in an individual’s genes may also cause him to acquire it within his lifetime. Though hemophilia is rare, the World Federation of Hemophilia states that 75% of people around the world with bleeding disorders have not yet been diagnosed.

Since its April and it's World Hemophilia Month, Blood Brothers Aid Inc., a non-profit organization based in the Philippines, aims to raise awareness about hemophilia in the country and to get more Filipinos to recognize the problem and help through blood or monetary donations.

Do you know someone who may suffer from hemophilia?

Following an injury, a person with hemophilia may take a longer time to heal from his wounds because his blood lacks the protein (clotting factor) instrumental in clotting.

The usual symptoms of hemophilia include deep bruising, joint pain and swelling caused by internal bleeding, spontaneous bleeding (e.g. nosebleeds), or prolonged bleeding from cuts, after surgery, or after a tooth extraction.

Hemophilia can be diagnosed by taking a blood sample and measuring the level of clotting factor activity in the blood.

Help bring treatment to the Philippines.

Hemophilia is mainly treated with replacement therapy. Clotting factor concentrates taken from healthy blood is injected into a hemophiliac’s bloodstream. Once it reaches the affected area, bleeding is expected to slow down and eventually stop. This treatment has to be done shortly after injury so as to avoid further pain, as well as damage to the person’s muscles, joints, and organs.

Clotting factor concentrates, however, are not readily available in the Philippines. International groups or volunteers ship medicine in from other countries, though supplies are minimal. In the absence of these drugs, a person in need of replacement therapy would require blood or plasma transfusions, and are at the mercy of the limited supply of blood available in hospitals. There are reported incidents of deaths among hemophiliacs due to the long wait for blood donations.

That’s why it is important for those who might show signs of having hemophilia to be diagnosed at the soonest possible time. It is also why more Filipinos need to be made aware of the disorder, so that we can help provide the support and treatments necessary for people who suffer from it.

Daniel Padilla and his band will be having a birthday concert on 30th April.

Daniel John Ford Padilla or Daniel Padilla or DJ started as an actor on 2010, as he joined the youth-oriented shows Gimik 2010 and Growing Up. Until he landed an important role in a primetime television series Princess and I with his showbiz love-team Kathryn Bernardo and the rest follows as the KathNiel grows and supports by many people especially the youth.

"Napansin ko na dati kahit hindi pa ako artista, malakas ako sa bata or gusto ako ng mga bata, palaging ako yung hinahanap ng mga bata pag sa laro at ganun din naman ako masaya pag-kasama ko sila" DJ explains the reason why so many youth, mostly the young ones from 6-10 years old loved him also. I fact a girl has present and waiting at the blogcon because, she wants to have a photo with DJ hehe..so cute.

Though he doesn't do rehearsals yet, the time we interviewed him at the blogcon, but his making sure that his friends and fans will enjoy the concert. From state-of-the-art stage, that can reach people and walk to them freely and  jump as well, up to the especial guest that everyone will enjoy. "The theme of the concert is rock, almost 10-12 songs from 60's -80's will be heard and dancing siguro, pero hindi po ako sasayaw sila lang [Laughs] kakanta nalang po ako pero sayaw hindi po eh" Dj ensure. 

With DJ's busy work and schedule, he still enjoys life and have some moment with his family. "Ako naman nag-eenjoy ako kahit nag-tatrabaho po ako, mas nakakatulong ako sa pamilya ko, yun po yung masarap sa pakiramdam" DJ reiterated.

With his young age and determination to do good and give better performance in every work, I can say that Daniel is really for this business. We need actors and singers like this in our country not only enhancing his craft but also serve as a role model for young people like him.

Pilipinas Got Talent's Second Week of Quarterfinalists and Winners

Remember the quarterfinals of the leading reality show on ABS-CNB, Pilipinas Got Talent has started last week, and I posted the highlights of the competition HERE. Last Saturday I got the chance again to be there at the PAGCOR Grand Theater and watch the show live and here's the quarterfinalists who compete as well as the winners.

Had a chance to see again the ever charming hosts of the show Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford who talked about cars and investing for car selling off screen hehe. Even one of the judges Ms. Kris Aquino having interest to invest in that kind of  business. You should see the live show and listen to the topics of both parties, because you will learn and know the things that they are doing aside from showbiz hehe..

The first quarterfinalist who showed their talent for last week's batch, is the flag twirlers called Si.Co.Cu. I remember when I was in high school  our school band had a flag twirler and synchronizing her movement with the band is so fascinating and seeing Si.Co.Gu last week is amazing. More than ten flag twirlers performed on stage.

Then the boy crooner of Cebu City, John Neil Roa sings, and the audience got wild also as he dances with the music. I didn't really remember what he sings, but I once heard that song when I was a child. My dad loves Frank Sinatra and I can tell this boy has that voice also.

The acrobatic stunts of Eyx-Point is extraordinary from their body movement, muscle strength and balance. All the said mobility ordination is present with this team and I am really holding my breath during their performance. I couldn't even take a nice photo of them as well, that's why I enhance the photos above. 

After that, the belly dancer with sword Sundee Vinas wow..the crowd when she enters with a colorful, glittery and sexy belly dancer costume, holding the two sword with sharp blades. As usual, with the stunts like this, I am holding my breath and scared as well because accidents do happen in an unexpected way and I am praying while she performs..heheh..

Eumee Lyn Capile was next who sang Alicia Key's "Girl On Fire". Eumee Lyn definitely has a unique voice, I know some of you think that reality talent shows always had a singer winner but that day, I know the reason why they cannot resist to have one, especially when you listen to them live.

The last but definitely not the least, is the blacklight dancers Zilent Overload which gave colors and light on the stage. The execution of their movements is more like faster than the sound, and the colorful man-made light props that they used, is original and captivating. 

Even the judges Kris Aquino, Ai Ai De Las Alas and FMG stood up and render an applause for the Zilent Overload because they nailed it. 

The latter two, got the 3nd and 4th slot for PGT's semifinals and they deserved it. Zilent Overload secure the spot because they had the highest votes online and text. Though Eumee and John compete again for judges decision, but Eumee got the 4th spot.

Dont forget this week's quarterfinalists who will show their talents on the PGT stage the comedic magician Michael Fernando a.k.a Mifer, singer Randy De Silva, dog trainer Florendo "Randy" Macalma, wheelchair dancers Tahanang Walang Hagdanan's Wheelchair Dancesport and BMG, and the twins dance group Symmetry. 

That's on Saturday after MMK and Sunday after Rated K as the 3rd batch of quarterfinalist perform. You can vote through text (PGT [code ng contestant]) to 231 for SMART and TALK&TEXT and 2331 for Globe, Sun and TM. Also vote online check (PilipinasGotTalent.abs-cbn.com) right after the last performer presented or with the go signal of the hosts.

A Dynamic Partnership Between Petron and Bobby Del Rosario (Fisher Mall)

Irma Fishing and Trading, Inc., headed by Roberto "Bobby" del Rosario, was conferred a special award by Petron represented by its President, Lubin Nepumuceno, in recognition of almost four decades of loyal patronage of Petron products.

Bobby del Rosario started his fishing entity in 1976 with one wooden fishing boat using trawl method of fishing. Petron (known then as Petrophil Corp) supplied the fuel and lube oil requirements of Irma Fishing. In 1981, Irma Fishing upgraded to its first steel vessel intended to explore deep-sea fishing. Having become as one of the leading fishing entities of his time, Del Rosario was elected President of Inter-Island Deep Sea Fishing Association in 1987, where Petrophil Corp was also a founding member.

Petrophil Corporation, that remained to be the sole supplier of fuel and oil lubricant requirements of Irma Fishing, and this time to include the LPG needs to support the other fishing periphery services (iceplants, shipyard, etc.) was renamed Petron Corporation. By 1990,Irma Fishing acquired its first purse seiner. Soon after, in 1995, marked the modernization of Petron depot in Navotas to support the growing fuel and lube oil demand of the expanding fishing business in the area.

Last year, Del Rosario created Mallers Investment Inc., to formally announce his foray into mall operations, as it commenced the construction of the next upscale shopping destination in Metro Manila, Fisher Mall, located in the former Pantranco Terminal along Quezon Ave., Quezon City. And looking forward by June of this year, Del Rosario is set to unveil the new  fishing industry services and facilities at Navotas Fish Complex. All throughout these business developments, Petron has stood alongside with Mr. del Rosario supporting him in his fuel and lube oil needs and this time, to include his LPG requirements for the new businesses

After almost four decades in the fishing business, the advancement in the ship repair facility, and above all, maintaining a trustworthy and strong partnership with leading suppliers like Petron, the Fisher Mall is another crowning glory for the founder of Irma Fishing, Mr. Bobby Del Rosario. Withstanding various business challenges, Fisher Mall is another dimension of a stronger and more dynamic partnership with Irma Fishing and Trading, Inc. for a mutually rewarding and productive business relationship

'It Takes A Man and A Woman' Gross P300M Plus In Two Weeks

The third installment film of Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz, 'It Takes A Man And A Woman' gained almost 300 million pesos on its second week of showing. The film really captures the heart of the Filipino globally because it is showed in other country like Canada etc. 

The third installment in Laida and Miggy love story is so remarkable because 'all's well that ends well' and you can really see people is smiling and feeling 'kilig' after they watched the movie and they immediately recommend and announced verbally or through social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, like me of course.

I am so lucky see the main casts and director of the film at presscon and blogcon (post HERE), and they really deserved the success that they gained. I saw the interview of Sarah yesterday at The Buzz and she is also very thankful that everybody appreciate the film. John Lloyd also announced in a VTR that this is not the last film for them, in fact there is a plan of having another one yeayyy...

If you haven't seen the film yet due busy schedule and work, you should plan to watch it with your love ones or friends on its third week, because your time is really worth and take it from me oki :)).
