Three to five years ago fun run in the Philippines reaches its highest registrants in every running event nationwide, that includes the Run United which was made in a series to accommodate running enthusiast and to promote an active lifestyle for a better and healthy Filipino.
Now the running distance simultaneously increases as they progress and Unilab Active Health with partner race organizer Runrio made the first ever RUN UNITED PHILIPPINE MARATHON that will happen on the 28th of October.
This is the first RUPM and expect the fun and excitement in running is better especially for the finishers of 42K. There would be a red carpet that will guide you through your success, a cow horn and marching bands that will signal your arrival, balloons, Phils. flag, photos here and there and many more before and after you reach the exclusive finish arc. I wish I could join that marathon someday but for now I am at my 5K journey, will come to that.
There will be other categories like 500m for kids, 3K, 5K, 10K, 21K with a registration payment of P350, P600, P700, P800, and P900 respectively. The winners of each category is now separate between Filipinos and foreigners to give credit or recognition to more runners.
Since its RUN UNITED there will always be an Active Health Village wherein you can refresh, learn, entertain, grab and win some exclusive items from participating Unilab products. It is classified in four categories like Active Kids Zone where kids can also enjoy after the run, Health wherein proper care and assistance are available, Sports and Leisure wherein you can participate in different booth and win prizes, Runners' Lounge for you to freshen-up and relax and also the iConnect wherein laptops with WiFi connection available. But the whole village has a WiFi signal open all the time.
