Manang's Chicken Introduces Velvet Sundae and Ultimate Crispy Chicken

Manang's Chicken, Ang Bagong Fried Chicken ng Pinoy launches its new products the Velvet Sundae and The Ultimate Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Its was last April 28,2012 when Manila reached its new hottest record and we together with other bloggers and media, savor the cold and melts in the mouth Velvet Sundae and perfect sandwich the Ultimate Crispy Chicken at their Tomas Morato branch.
Before the event was started the crew served us with  their Chips and Dips (garlic mayo and cream cheese) which I find crispy and non greasy. It is perfect with the two dips they offer, but if i were you, i'll dip it in both(which i always do) because it really has a distinctive taste which you will love. Me and my co-blogger Jenn loved it so much. You can try it too for 30Php (small) and 49Php (large) and add dipp for only 10Php.
The program started and hosted by Jeelo Green of Magic 89.9 which first introduced the women behind Manang's Chicken Ms. Jill Gerodias-Borja that welcomes all of us and  Ms Jenilee Gerodias-Slagle which busy at the kitchen preparing food and surprises for us. Ms. Jill presented the story from their manang's chicken staple food to the history of Mercato and now branches in the Metro. It was really an inspiring story, now i'll ask our manang what she have the best for us hehe...
Then the new products was introduced, Firstly, The Ultimate Crispy Chicken the perfect snack on the go and an alternative for rice meal. The crispy chicken fillet lightly poured with Manang's secret soy garlic sauce on a spread of fresh coleslaw within the authentic pan de pugon bun. You can also choose from original, mild or extra spicy one. But for me I like the extra spicy. You can order it as Solo (109Php) or Meal with drinks and chips (135Php).
The latest twist on a classic dessert was introduced the Velvet Sundae, a symphony of moist velvety cake and fudge-covered vanilla ice cream. Its really a sundae with a taste of heaven inside, serve with warm velvety cake hmmm....you have to try it with hot caution esp the bottom part of the plastic glass. You can eat it with sundae first or fudge but for me I scoop it down to the bottom and whatever it hits I'll shoot it all the way hehehe...so yummy. Its always fresh baked to order dessert for only 49Php how's that?...
From Mercato (2010) to food bazaars, Manang's Chicken really expanded their horizon because they already have seven branches including SM Ortigas, Katipunan, SM Megamall, SM North, Taft Ave, Glorietta Tomas Morato and soon to be having at BF Homes and Visayas Ave. Manang's Chicken is serving northern and southern part and they continually serving at weekend market in Mercato (Taguig) and Soderno(Alabang).

Have you seen the First-of-its-kind internet café training facility in Southeast Asia? Well now you'll get a chance to see and experience them because the country’s leading local PC retail company PC Express and worlds' leader in computing innovation Intel Philippines launched the PC Express iCafe Solutions Center, a 20-seater internet cafe showroom that offers in-house seminars, demonstrations and workshops for both aspiring and existing internet café owners.

The partnership will combine Intel’s leadership in microprocessor and computing technology with PC Express’ expertise in and commitment to the IT retailing industry to deliver the complete, seamless and satisfying computing experience necessary for internet café patrons to accomplish their different tasks. Executives from both companies will be on-site to host a series of free seminars throughout the year to discuss the impact of new technology on the internet café industry.

Intel PH country manager Ricky Banaag, Intel PH business manager Valerie Lu, PC Express president and CEO Oliver Ng and PC Express VP for marketing and operations Jesse Tan

From gaming, surfing, or creating and uploading files, there is an unrelenting need for a place wherein ultimate access to computers and to internet connection are readily available. Following the growing of online gaming since early 2000s, entrepreneurs were quick to open shop in different locations to address the then-evolving Philippine internet café phenomenon. On the other hand, due to the lack of product and industry information, a common misconception among aspiring internet café owners is that the business is easy to get into and manage which compromise the quality of products and services for a quick return of investment.

Intel's Ricky Banaag, RK Franchise Consultancy Founder Rudolf Kotik, Intel's Valerie Yu, PC Express' Jesse Tan and PC Express' Oliver Ng

PC Express iCafe Solutions Center aims to accomplish with its in-house seminars and showroom - to teach internet café owners how to start-up and maintain their own facilities, and, through Intel’s participation, to educate them on the latest technologies that directly affect the business like the  integration of the Intel Easy Steps module into the workshops and seminars is a good opportunity for participants to learn basic computer and technical skills. Moreover with PC Express offered a complete solutions package including free consultation, construction, branding evaluation, workshops and in-house micro-financing for aspiring and existing internet café owners.

Visit PC Express iCafe Solutions Center located at the PC Express shop, 2nd floor Liberty Center, Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City and for more information on the PC Express iCafe Solutions Center, please contact the PC Express Shaw branch at 718-3939 or 718-3838.

And to continue they goal, Max's Restaurant will be having its latest group meal offering, "4Sharing Meal's" from April 15 to June 10, 2012.

I was one of the lucky bloggers to join the launch of the said campaign held at the original house or the first branch of Max's Restaurant in the Philippines which is located at Scout Tuazon St. T.Morato, Quezon City. The event was attended by different kinds of media but majority are bloggers which I enjoyed so much because some of the PMC members were present. The event was hosted by famous DJ's namely Chico, Delamar and Gino of 93.1 which made my day even more enjoyable that night.

Top right: Chico, Delamar and Gino left: Mr.Bobby Simborio

3rd Bikers Club Meet-Up on 20 May 2012 (Malabon)

The growing number of motorcycle users has doubled . Similarly, the cases of road crashes including motorcycles are also growing. We are alarmed by everyday accounts of bloody bike crashes, little is being done to mitigate them. Safe-T-Ryders, a training center concerned about motorcycle riders, reaches out to Malabon riders with its 3rd Bikers Club Meet-Up on Sunday, 20 May 2012, at the Malabon Amphitheater. As part of the Araw ng Malabon celebrations,it will be hosted by club UFRC (Underbone Fury Riders Club) and bringing together Malabon bike riders ready for a day of fun and learning.

List are the statistical highlights with the compelling need for a safety riding campaign:

•2010 LTO data show that of the 1.1-M new vehicles registered, about 80% or just over  900,000 were in the motorcycle/tricycle category. The same data set shows that registered MC/TC now total close to 3.5-million or more than 52% of the 6.6-million registered vehicle population in the country.
•Not surprisingly enough,  that while Metro Manila accident data for the years 2005-2010 have remained steady at around 120,000 cases, those involving MC/TC have grown from just 9.4% (11,475) in 2005 to 14.6% (20,518) in 2010.
For greater awareness among the public and motorcycle riders in particular, Safe-T-Ryders will conduct  a series of Bikers Club Meet-Ups.  The goal is to engage organized bikers to take active part in the promotion of road safety and reduction of road mishaps.

Alberto H. Suansing, former LTO chief and current executive director of the Philippine Global Road Safety Program (PGRSP), exchanged views with representatives of the Underbone Fury Riders Club from Malabon, Bright Lights Club of Valenzuela, as well as BayTor Riders, Manressa Riders Club, RJ Riders and Interstate Riders Club from Quezon City.  Discussions focused on issues and matters affecting the bike riders in their daily commute.

A Safe-T-Ryders instructor  demonstrates using the much talked-about “Fatal Vision” goggles to emphasize the very damaging effects of riding under the influence of alcohol, and its severe consequences resulting in serious injuries and even death.  With the growing number of road crashes resulting from riding under the influence of alcohol, Safe-T-Ryders is mounting a campaign against riding motorbikes after taking alcohol.

According to founder Arnel Doria, "The Club Meet-Up program is part of our advocacy to engage bikers club members in the active campaign to multiply the number of responsible and disciplined bikers.  This will be a continuing program for Safe-T-Ryders Training Center and we invite corporate partners to join us in this road safety advocacy." Club Meet Up is regularly supported by Gadgets Magazine and Blaze motorcycles.  Past events sponsors were Petron, McDonald’s and AVT Navigator.

Safe-T-Ryders Training Center believes that a sound knowledge base as well as strong riding skills result in safer road users and enhance the enjoyment of motorcycle riders. It was established by Arnel Doria, who was the head of marketing for a leading car brand and was also instrumental in setting up the country's first integrated vehicle training center. The training center is manned by Julius Ballesteros, a TESDA-certified instructor who has just completed a two-year stint as a safety driving instructor of a large Saudi Arabian company, and Sulfikar Guiabel, an experienced LTO-accredited riding/driving instructor.

The Biker Meet-Up is open to bike club members as well as individual riders.  Interested participants are requested to pre-register and reserve a slot. Attendance is free of charge to qualified participants. For more information, please contact Safe T Ryders (Tel No. 208-8035 / Mobile: 0932-872-3389).  Check for updates on Facebook (www.facebook.com/safetryders).

MILO Builds Future Young Filipino Achievers

Parents who believe in giving their children the opportunity to learn new skills and over the summer will be given an assurance at MILO Summer Sports Clinics. They have more systematic training regimen that are better catered to improving individual skills and sharpen values like discipline, fair play, self – control, and honesty. I remember my brother went on training at MILO Sports Clinic every summer and until now the knowledge and skills that he learned are retained throughout years.

MILO Summer Sports Clinics have its goal to make children into champions, MILO ensures that the participants of its trusted sports programs not only get the training they need to become future world-class athletes but also the necessary values that they would need to succeed in life such as determination, commitment and teamwork.

Starting this year, to improve on the quality of the MILO Summer Sports Clinics, MILO has centralized the locations to ensure that more children will have access to the best coaches and the most effective training methods for a wide range of sports. Beginning April until the end of May, MILO will be opening its sports clinics in over 20 cities all over the Philippines.  Kids ages 7 years old – 16 years old have 10 different sports to choose from: badminton, chess, football, gymnastics, karatedo, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, and volleyball. Every day, for 2 – 3 hours, i'm sure each child will be enjoying their summer playing the sport that they love and learning to be the best person they can be.

So, for moms and dads who think children should remain busy and active over the summer vacation, getting children involved in sports would be a more enjoyable and productive alternative to hours of watching TV or playing computer and video games. Let us all build future young achievers for our family and country as well. Enjoy summer :))

Visit http://www.milo.com.ph or call (02) 353-5090, (02) 966-6333, and (0917) 589-9880 to register for any of the sports clinics this summer of 2012.
