My Househusband: Ikaw Na! Red Carpet Premiere

Last night was the red carpet premiere of Octoarts Films entry for the Metro Manila Film Festival - My Househusband: Ikaw Na!. Held at SM Megamall Cinema 10, I was in the venue around seven in the evening and tons of fans and followers of Judy Ann Santos, Ryan Agoncillo and Eugene Domingo secured their post in order to greet the cast as they walk through the red carpet.

Since the series of blogger conferences with the director and cast of the movie, I really am excited and agitated to watch the movie. And last night was the night I've been waiting for, and it didn't failed me, in fact I wanted to recommend it to my friends and family to watch, with me of course hehhe...

The caliber of Judy Ann in terms of drama is immeasurable and Ryan as well, but in this movie I was surprise how I laugh so loud with their comedic actions like the scene that Mia (Judy Ann) was so mad and Rob (Ryan) because he lied about resigning on his job then the pick-up lines and side comments was so funny hehe..

Eugene Domingo always made me laugh so hard I almost cry hayz!! As a matter of fact almost all Aida's (Eugene) scenes made me feel that way. Once Aida is in the scene, im getting ready to laugh out loud while covering my mouth with my hands hahah...

I will not spoil the things that will make you cry also, just focus to learn the true meaning of the movie for you and your community and just ready to cry and fell out of your seats due laughing heheh..Watch My Househusband:Ikaw Na! in the MMFF 2011with the whole family in theaters near you starting on Christmas Day. Film schools in California offer classes if you  would like to see your film played at the Metro Manila Film Festival one day. Pinoy Homecoming Hospitality Center at DMIA

Christmas is near and lots of balikbayans arriving at the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) in Pampanga, they will experience their warmest welcome yet with the opening of the Pinoy Homecoming Hospitality Center at the airport that was open since November 29. Not only their relatives and friends will welcome them with open arms but also our own country which they serve through years even in abroad working and putting food on the table of each family.

A project headed by the Department of Tourism (DOT), the homecoming center is part of the government's ongoing efforts to boost visitor arrivals from the balikbayan market by 25 percent in the next five years. Dubbed as the Pinoy Homecoming campaign, it primarily targets Filipinos based overseas, not only in the United States and Canada but globally.

A result of Presidential Proclamation No. 181 “Declaring the Years 2011 to 2016 as the Pinoy Homecoming Years” signed on June 3, 2011, the campaign supports Republic Act No. 6768, as amended, or the “Balikbayan Program.” Under the Balikbayan Program, overseas Filipinos (OFs) are given special privileges and benefits in recognition of their contribution to the growth of the Philippine economy in terms of foreign exchange inflow and remittances.

To reach this set of younger Filipinos abroad, the campaign also has a digital marketing component. Through the website www.pinoyhomecoming.ph,  Pinoys abroad can easily access Philippine news portals, tourism products and services, practical balikbayan tips, Philippine holiday and festival calendars, as well as a directory of industry partners and the contact details of DOT’s international offices.

My Househusband: Ikaw Na! Ready for MMFF 2011

Recently, bloggers had a chance to meet the casts of the movie and entry of OctoArts Films in this years' Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) - My Househusband: Ikaw Na!.All casts are geared for their entry and promoting it from TV, radio, print and also online which many would have reach especially these days. Bloggers were invited in an afternoon of drama, comedy and knowing each casts experiences and views of the movie and also a chance to know their personal details. The blogger conference was hosted by Melai and Shalala which made the program more pleasing.

The event was started around four in the afternoon at Guilys Restaurant in Tomas Morato and casts introduced one-by-one and greeted us wonderfully. Casts like Roco Nacino , Ellen Adarna, Eugene Domingo, Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo are all present to talk about the much awaited dramedy and MMFF entry that will be open this coming Christmas Day and believe will weigh in mightily come awards on December 28.

This is my second time to join the conference with co-bloggers, the first time is with Judy Ann and Ryan. The comedienne Eugene Domingo this time added the fun and I believe the movie wouldn't have this more successful without the acting prowess of the three combination. Like I said before Juday played the role of Mia, a mother and wife who is the sole breadwinner of the family which I find practical these days also.

On the otherhand Ryan Agoncillo played the role of Rod, which delineation of provider turned circumstantial housekeeper but with the perfect portrayal of Ryan in this movie he ready justify his role and he will surely make people laught, think, understand and perhaps accepts the fact that there is no secret formula or set-up that makes a family work, as they real life relationship they work it out as it is but the honestly and trust is a must have ingredients in a relationship.

Guiding the actors in giving their best in "My Househusband:Ikaw Na!" is Direk Joey, who, himself, is no stranger to awards. Many of his works have also become modern classics some of which also featured Ryan, Judy Ann and Eugene. He said in recdent interviews that his latest film is important in his career in thet he plans to redirect his career should he win Best Director yet again.

My Househusband: Ikaw Na! expected to lead the box-office results and will bring home the highest awards in the MMFF 2011. Opens in theaters on Christmas Day, December 25. See you there :)))

My Househusband:Ikaw Na! a movie starring a real life couple Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos with Eugene Domingo is the official entry of Octoarts Films for the Metro Manila Film Festival 2011 opening on December 25, Christmas Day. A Film produced by Orly Ilacad and directed by Jose Javier Reyes was going to be a blockbuster movie and poised for major wins in MMFF 2011 Awards' race.

The movie brings you the real scenario of how husband and wife relationship, their struggles in terms of raising kids, knowing priorities, being patient and understanding, balancing careers and family life. Ryan and Juday's roles become more realistic in their hands since they can relate to their characters as Rod and Mia in many aspects. Eugene Domingo as Aida thickens the plot of the story plays the mistress who lives next door and eventually ends up as Rod's BFF. Imagine the situation being Eugene as a mistress of Ryan and Juday plays sometime character role instead, between the two. Im sure its gonna be a great movie.

Recently bloggers had an opportunity to meet Mr & Mrs Agoncillo, and had a chance to know them better by asking questions about the movie, family and career. Some of the questions were asked was,What do you want people to learn after watching this movie? J: "We want to impart how couple can cope up with their situation specially when the husband is the one left at home and do the chores and someone has to do the office work in order to help finances of the family". Is there any scene that you encounter and know what to do? R: Yes, example the time that Juday have to stay at home because she's pregnant and I have to do the extra effort for us to save money for the additional member of the family .

They were also asked some personal questions and they honestly answered it with confidence. Like, Were there instances that you fight over money? J: No, because from the start we have our own expenses over toy collections, things that we want and we have a separate savings for our family, travel and the future of our kids. Would you like your children to be in showbiz? J: No, because I know how hard it is and I don't want my children to experience what I've been through R: but Yohan really wanted to be like her mother, in fact she even know how to operate a flip cam and act in front of it.


It was a wonderful evening to know the Agoncillos' and the movie My Househusband: IkawNa!. I am so excited to watch it together with my husband and friends. See you in theater!! :))

WWF's Greener at 50 Auction

World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in celebration of its 50th Anniversary of protecting nature, recently launch a  fundraising project that will give us an opportunity to help and develop the environment. The Greener at 50, in partnership with E-bay Philippines, aims to sustain the WWF-Philippines projects for environment all over the country like protecting wildlife, work with communities, cleaning coastlines and more.

Yesterday I was fortunate to attend the said online auction launch at One Corp. Avenue Ortigas, Pasig City with  media and bloggers, the event was hosted by Rovilson Fernandez (WWF-Philippines National Ambassador). At the registration area I was instructed to keep the seeds that I got because we will be using it at bidding part of the event. I was so excited for that portion, better more when I saw the items that included in the auction that day like limited edition WWF shirts, umbrella, huggable pillow, photos taken by WWF-Philippines CEO and Vice Chair Lory Tan and trip to Hamilo Coast with WWF Team.

They started the event at around 10:30AM and Mr. Fernandez introduces the WWF-Philippines Individual Donor Program Online Officer Marie Bretaña and said "Unlike other charity auctions, the organization's Greener at 50 auction is geared to making people realize that everything is connected. The categories we've offered are different from one another and despite this, we learn that everything still goes back to nature"

The WWF-Philippines CEO and Vice Chair Jose Ma. Lorenzo Tan also gave a video message saying "Much work remains to be done, Come now, and take this journey with us. From vulnerability to viability; from coral reefs, through climate change, to competitiveness; from sea turtles, though supply chains, to sustainability, take action make a bid for the Planet's future, your future". 

Then the auction begun and the fun-filled room remains until the end of the event. Lucky me because I took home a WWF-Philippines CEO and Vice Chair Lory Tan photo for 64 seeds yeayyy...Thank you so much for those who gave me their seeds hehe..

Last December 5, bloggers gathered together to experience gadgets on a different level. Bloggers Night: Brands That Click 2011 were held at Astoria Plaza in Ortigas, Pasig City and attended with almost 50 people including bloggers, brand representatives and supporters. We had a chance used and explore the products of brands participated the event and bloggers were so eager to used them and have a first hand information on brands like Archos, Asus, BenQ, CoolerMaster, JBL, Kingston,  Razer, Sandisk and PowerColor.

Then the formal presentation of brands with thier newest products occurred and presented by their respected representatives. Like Sir Gelo, for Archos which having their new set of products available in the market such as Archos G9 Tablet Powered 3.2 Andoid 3.2 Honeycomb with 10.1" and 8" display, 1.5 GHz dual core A9 OMAP 4 ARM Cortex processor, up to 250GB HDD memory and good thing about it is its a 3G android ready which you can pruchase the dongle separately without buying a brand new unit again to upgrade your preferences.
