Last month I got a chance to watched two of Spanish movies included in the Spanish Film Festival and three from Korean Film Festival. Me and my husband engage to watch at least two from movie festivals held every year because through this, we could have a chance to know the country's culture and the way they make a movie. Next month there is another country which will be presenting their most awarded movies - Italy.
In the past years, the Embassy of Italy to the Philippines has been organizing wonderful film festivals and it was so successful because it has been well attended and love by Filipino and foreign audiences alike. Now they will be doing it again from November 9-13 at Greenbelt Cinema entitled "Moviemov: Italian Cinema Now". The press launch of the said festival happened last Wednesday at Manila Peninsula, Makati. Italian VIP's and Filipino directors were also present to welcome the movie festival.
Moviemov: Italian Cinema Now films is absolutely free because the organizers hope that it will become a perpetual cultural event for audiences of so ancient and sophisticated artistic traditions and able to meet the offer of a new generation of writers, actors and producers who bode well for the renewal of Italian cinema.
Here's the screening schedule from November 9 - November 13, 2011, FREE entrance; English subtitles. See you there!!!
