I attended the Tupperware Brands Chain of Confidence Link-Up Party held at Opus, Resorts World Manila  and it was an event full of celebrities, well known personalities, media and new line products from Tupperware Brands. Golden ABC Partners with Efren Penaflorida's DTC Kariton Klasrum

Last Saturday August 20, I woke up very early around 5am and get ready for a meaningful and productive day. Together with other bloggers we volunteered for a Kariton Klasrum (pushcart education) activity, around 6:30AM we all gathered and leave Starbucks 6750 for Cavite. An hour drive that full of fun because we are all excited for the activities and the organizer conduct some briefing while on our way to the designated area. Until we reach the place and saw some DTC volunteers pushing kariton, and made the place to classroom.

The Dynamic Teen Company (DTC), is a local Non-government Organization founded August 1997 headed by CNN Hero 2009 Mr.Efren Penaflorida Jr. or Kuya Ef has partnered with GOLDEN ABC (GABC) which contacted interested bloggers who want to volunteer for that day. GABC Inc. established in Cebu since 1986, is the country's fashion  pioneer and owner of leading brands like Penshoppe, Oxygen, For Me, Memo Tyler, Regatta and its direct selling subsidiary Red Logo.

Together with GABC employees, we all volunteered to help Penaflorida and DTC in teaching the underprivileged kids about basic reading, writing, arithmetic, hygiene, character building values, and educating them to make a positive difference in their lives.

The activity started with flag ceremony and a prayer, then the 3 Kariton Klasrums were set-up at Cavite City Market vacant lot. The children was so excited to sat down and they listened attentively as volunteer teacher started to talk. The students were divided according to age 0- 3, 4-8 and 8 and above. The last kariton is set-up as a Kariton Klinik (clinic), wherein it promotes basic hygiene and giving them wound care.

Different activities were introduced according to age groups and it aims to teach them motor skills, strategic skils, writing and reading. Since they are children the play time also given and we all participated in this activity. The  kids really enjoyed and had fun especially if teacher gave them a reward which they can exchange for a meal after the teaching and playing session. And since one of the us celebrated her birthday she gave all the children a burger for lunch yeayyy...

The session was ended and we went back to DTC headquarters for presentation of DTC & GABC achievement and plan in the future that I would share with you soon,get ready to GET UP. We all went back to Manila by lunch time but the memories and fulfillment of helping other people will remain in our hearts. Thank you so much GABC for this opportunity to share/help shape the future of our country and I hope you will bring us again on your next activity because I believe on your aim to actively involve in various foundations that further cause people's development as you been doing for the past two decades.

New Creation Manufacturing Company Tour

Last week I had a chance to visit the New Creation Manufacturing located at Pananaque City. Started in 1959, the company focus on manufacturing of bedsheets, comforters, pillowcases and towels for the domestic market. By the year 1972 they ventured into infant's and childrens' wear for both local and export market. Until they reached Europe, Australia and Middle East in 1979. They had a license for manufacturing Disney and Snoopy character by 1995 and it expanded great-fully until now because they are the official manufacturer of newest characters.

Headed by Mr Hiro Asandas, Raj Mahtani and Harry Uttam. With a vision of becoming the leading  manufacturer of bedsheets in the country and other products. The personnels and officers whose experience is enhanced by enthusiasm and dedication a vital characteristic that a company have to achieved success. 

We went first to the infant and childrens' plant, at the receiving area which also served as they showroom, all the items that they are manufacturing for local and export market are displayed around the room like the Hello Dolly, Disney, Winnie the Pooh, Cars and many more. They are all so cute and I took that chance to have lots of photo.

Right after the introduction and information about the company, we immediately went into the production plant and tour around to meet the people behind the successful company. I will share with you our tour inside the plant by means of photos. Here we go enjoy the tour.

When we went to the next plant, the Canadian Manufacturing and we went straight to the showroom wherein,  colorful towels, bathrobes, bedsheets and pillows are organized according to color, kind and shape. The room is glowing with different colors and the fabric of each item is so smooth.

We also had a chance to visit inside the manufacturing area of the Canadian Manufacturing. We saw how the bulk comforters were made using a machine and finished it manually.Added to that, is we also saw how the pillow were made.

Canadian Manufacturing is the number one supplier of the biggest malls in our country and exclusively making linens for hotels and resorts. The quality and durability of the products attracts more clients. The Department Heads Kristine Pilapil and Joy Sebastian oriented as about the products and milestones of the company.

Thank you New Creation Manufacturing for letting us tour around your company and learn about things that we may do next in purchasing and choosing the right linens and towels for our everyday life.
