Mindanao Buffet Lunch at Bayview Park Hotel

Written By Ning Buning on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 | Wednesday, July 20, 2011

I've been to Bayview Park Hotel with my friend for us to have our lunch for that day because I knew that the hotel joined the Kulinarya Festival 2011 for July spare-headed by the Department of Tourism and Hotel & Restaurant Association of the Philippines. As we enter the hotel, we  immediately noticed that the Bayview Coffeeshop (located at the left side of the lobby)  is busy setting-up for the buffet, since its only past 10 o'clock in the morning we decided to wait until 11AM which is the starting time of the buffet. A little chat on the side, we were so excited to try the Mindanao Cuisine which will be serve for this week  11AM- 2PM Monday to Friday.

So here's the succulent dishes that they will be offering for you, your family and friends!! I took a picture for you guys.

Pata with Beer - A pata cooked with beer and little water to tender. It taste like paksiw na pata but this type, the pata is more tender and the combination of ingredients are well bind. It has a bit sweet taste and the freshness of dried banana blossoms. I personally like it and I took it two rounds. You must try it!!

Binusog na Pusit (Stuffed Squid) - Grilled pusit with  chopped tomato, onions, garlic, and red&black pepper as its filling. The stuff inside the squid is so fresh, the juice that it produces well blend with the perfect grilled pusit. This dish is low in fat and calories but rich in proteins and minerals that's why I like it.

Bihon Guisado (Rice Stick Noodles with Vegetables) - A Chinese-Filipino food is one of my favorite dishes since I was a child. No party I attended that Pansit Bihon is not on the buffet table. That's why Im so happy that Bayview Buffet also has one in their buffet list. It added more excitement in me when I saw eggs on top of it, and it taste so good. I like the way they cook the vegetables its so crunchy and the bihon really hold each other for you to gathered more. Its a must try also.

Sinampalukang Manok (Sour Soup Chicken) - is a chicken dish with vegetables and tamarind. I like sinampalukang manok than any other sinagang dish because it has a really good taste and no after taste like when you eaten it. The buffet offers the same taste of soap and crunchyness of vegetabble the difference is that the chicken is chopped into smaller pieces.

They also have delicacies like Banana Chips (sweetened dried banana), Otap (puff pastry) and Pili Nuts. You must tried them all especially the banana chips. And also the Kakanins topped with latik (fried coconut milk curds) will not be left behind for this cuisine.

Complete your Bayview buffet lunch experience with  Halo-Halo and Sago Gulaman to finish and satisfy your gastronomical experience as we do. Maybe we will return next week for another round I'll keep you posted and you can also join us if you want okay.

For only 450Php you can also experience the deletable cuisine that Bayview Park Hotel is offering, remember that this Kulinarya Festival is happening only this month of July so dont be left behind okay.
