Last Thursday March 31, I had a chance to watch the special screening of "TUM: My Pledge of Love" produced and directed by Mr. Robin Padilla at SM Centerpoint. The people are so excited and eager to watch the movie as they went inside the theater, first there was a program which the audience enjoyed a lot specially the giving of gifts and tokens courtesy of Natashia. Moreover the talk with Ms Quenie Padilla which plays also the main role in the movie interacting with the audience.Added to that the crowd was so intense when Mr & Mrs Robin and Mariel Padilla came other. Second is the pledge which lead by the youth leaders from different schools and organizations which i think the important part of the event because they gave importance specifically for them as Mr. Padilla mentioned also. The movie proper follows after that.
TUM: My Pledge of Love is a movie about love, solidarity, culture and religion. Tum meaning "you" in the Hindu terms, portrays the important role of showing love among each characters as Ravaan (Robin Padilla) to Linda (Mariel Padilla) and Ibrahim (Ejay Falcon) to Gheeta (Queenie Padilla) which is true and unconditional. The solidarity among culture and religious members was shown in the movie (Christians, Muslims and Hindu) and I really learn more about them. The movie was entirely filmed in India which the famous Taj Mahal is located, structure which was made purely by eternal love.Perfect location for a perfect movie showing love: love for country, love for people and love for your only one.
I can recommend this movie if you want to learn more about religious practices, cultures and traditions (Christian, Islam, Hindu), glimpse around the country of India, how Robin and Mariel fall for each other (kilig^-^), fight for love, meaning of brotherhood, family and charity. Expect singing and dancing in between (Bollywood) but not that much.
